Demko Textured Titanium 20.5’s…Knifecenter Exclusive

These just dropped today, with the same 3V as the previous run that had smooth ti scales. It’s a lot of money (and about $50 more than the smooth scales) for a Taiwanese knife, but I’ve been so happy with the shark foot that I got on the last drop, I couldn’t resist opting for the clip point on this one. I’m not going to go into specific details, but this feels as good (if not slightly better) as a high end Taiwan Spyderco, and I am reluctantly okay with the pricing (it’s not like I can get a real Demko ti for anywhere near this price range).

It looks like there are at least 100 of each blade shape in stock right now. My guess is that they’ll sell out quickly, so I didn’t hesitate to order.

If this is a duplicate thread, please forgive me:

I wish I would have held off for one of these rather than the smooth titanium/3v version.

$60 extra for the milling isn’t too bad and it looks great imo.
I’ll post some pics comparing the two when I get the clip point.

Hey - you could probably sell the smooth one for a decent chunk to help cover the purchase of the textured one.

To be honest, not a fan of titanium scales, adds too much weight. That's a lot of money for just a scale upgrade imo.
I’m hooked on titanium scales…just love the feel... but I can front pocket carry an Espada XL all day without noticing the weight…not that I’m stupid enough to do so very often. But I hear you - there are so many fantastic featherweights out there now that if light is your thing, there are tons of options.

That said, the weight difference between the grivory and ti versions is very slight to me. But I certainly agree that they’re really pushing the envelope on the price here. If I didn’t like this particular knife so much, I would never consider paying that much for what it is.

I've been thinking about this one for the past couple days. Not only is it expensive, but kinfecenter also charges me sales tax, pushig the total to about $400. That's a lot for a knife made outside the US with a steel that is not my preference.

On the other hand, I really like the 20.5 and I really like textured titanium.

I've got the smooth one and I love it. I'd have probably gotten one of the new ones if they'd gone with a better edge retention steel.

I see they still have the timascus version, at 1050.00 Boy thats sticker shock, but i wouldnt mind having one....

Looks nice, but I like my micarta version just as well. I like to try to keep my titanium knives limited to higher end like CRK Shiro AB etc.

Got the textured ti clip point today. I think that I like it more than the smooth, but it’s a tough call. The build quality and action are equal to each other and just excellent. I suppose time will tell by which one gets more snail trails:

Damn they both look super nice. I still haven't tried out a shark lock.
I hadn’t tried one either, until I bought one of these smooth titanium versions in the first drop. I’m super happy with it and love it. I would highly recommend!
