Demko Textured Titanium 20.5’s…Knifecenter Exclusive

It’s been in and out of my cart many times. As much as I like the 20.5, I just can’t do it…
Do you think you might cave and get the timascus one? It is nice, and when i saw it on the blade show video i thought ah its probably gonna be 500 or so boy was i wrong. It was higher when it first went on the site ,i think around 1200 then it lowered to 1050.Come on,its a bargain now 😂

I don’t know about you guys but Timascus scales are just too extra for me. A little too eccentric.

When it was 1200, I was out for sure. At 1050, I keep going back and forth, but can’t pull the trigger . At $700, I’d buy and feel okay about it.

The main problem is the that I’d never use it. I have one beautiful William Henry knife that cost over 1000, and I’m always too nervous to pocket carry it. I just take it out and admire it from time to time. So, it’s really more of an art piece than a tool, and I’d hate for something as cool as a Demko shark lock knife to not be a useful tool.

How's the balance on these? I had a grivory handled one & the balance was pretty good.

The balance point is basically the same on all of the knives…maybe 3/4” behind the pivot. In hand, while using, all of them feel comparable balance wise, but the textured ti feels noticeably better in terms of overall feel to me than any of the others:

These do not have liners I have read but have an all titanium frame. I see the pivot is different. This is getting closer to a mini AD20. Am I right ? Bigger is AD20 territory. I wonder if Demko ever made an even larger version of the AD20, if so I have not ever read about it, but could it be custom ordered ?

The specs on KC must be a copy/paste as they state stainless steel liners. This screenshot from their video clearly shows no liners. Very clean and thin.

It would be very odd to put a stainless steel liner under a titanium scale so you could be right that this part of spec on kc site is incorrect.

Well…I had to order the new Knifecenter carbon fiber clip point 3V 20.5…I’d say that I’m officially collecting these now:

Shark Foot:

I still can’t pull the trigger on the timascus though…looks like they have 14 left in inventory.

So Mr. Shabazz just posted an overview/disassembly video of the textured ti clip point. Of course, he put KPL all over it, which, after owning 3 of these ti 20.5s, I can say is completely unnecessary. But at least we get to see a breakdown of the knife:

I’d say that Knifecenter is going to be selling them out quicker now that the “knife review guru” has made everyone who didn’t yet know now aware of their existence. I like Nick well enough - not trying to sound snarky…just don’t quite understand why that he has to lube every factory new knife that he gets his hands on.

There are at least 100 of each blade type still in stock, and they haven’t been moving as fast as the initial smooth ti run, but I’d still advise not to wait too long if you’re trying to pick one up.

Whenever the carbon fiber comes in, I’ll post detailed comparison shots of all the models.

What is the story with the pivot on these runs. Has anyone compared them to the standard pivots under the hood
