Will send money over today, but I wanted to verify it's still open?

I understand the grinds may be a problem, but feel free to use the creators adjustment rule. I tried to do it on the PC, but my PC skills are worse than my artistic ability if you can imagine.

Still open, but I don`t do hollow grinds, and I`m allergic to G10, so you may not want to enter.

I'm wide open to adjustments. Micarta handles, flat grinds all around are fine with me. It was rushed, but just came across the thread and wanted to make sure I got something in. If nothing else, help pay for someone else's knife project :)

With this mindset, you will fit right in here.
Glad to have another good soul around the fire.

That I can do, so entry accepted! Welcome to my forum, stick around and join in the conversations!

Guys, John does a great job on these design-your-own knives. I sent him an outline of what I wanted, and I got a gem back. I have it on my hip today. Good job, John.

There are so many cool designs, I don't even know if I would vote for my own at this point :)!

So here's my proposal (I hope to be able to subtitute this with a nicer drawing of the same knife - I'm travelling away from home and my tools are limited :rolleyes:).
The idea is a short bladed Kephart knife (SBK). Lately, I've been thinking that for general (outdoor) use, as long as I have a full grip with a comfortable handle, I don't need a long blade. Cutting rope, twine, paracord, making feathersticks, processing bark and such, are tasks easily completed with a short blade. If I plan on processing much wood, then I will bring along a dedicated tool (axe, saw, chopper/machete and so on). A shorter blade allows for more control and torque, and I generally don't have much use for a pointy tip. So...this is my submission, with some specs:
- 1/8" O1 steel (open towards 3/32" as well);
- 1" wide blade, full flat grind;
- canvas micarta (natural or green) or wooden handles (to be determined...);
- two pins and one lanyard hole.

Thanks John for hosting this :)

:cool:

Legal Disclaimer: I can't draw and certainly can't design a knife, but I know I want something like this although the dimensions seem off. Think the blade is 2.75" not 3.75" and the OAL is 6.25" not 5.25". Hopefully I can finalize exact details later.

EDC Kukri shamelessly called "Chakkeevaala" or in english "The Miller"
