Desperately need help!

I am very sorry about your situation. It really bites my ass that some people are actually patting themselves on their backs for a job well done.
 
I wonder what would have happened if you left them in your car? (if you have one) I never went to any higher ed s**t but from what I hear if it's in your car it's golden (I just went to WVU in Morgentown last month to walk a nature trail and left my pocket knife in the car) and seeing as a kitchen knife is ok..why not try and carry a paring knife in a neck sheath? :D
