Did Blade Forums just get bought by Google?

Google streetview, google earth, now google knife, hey its the internet. I guess knives will go wireless too.

All knives shown on this forum from this point forward must be made of rubber in order to comply with Google's anti-weapon policy.

My understanding is that Sparks made out like a bandit on this deal. He will personally receive a lump sum of <insert dramatic music here> ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS! which he plans to invest in one-quarter of a share of Google stock. He also gets a free Google beer cozy, AND a ride in the front seat of the Google Street Map car next time they remap Ponca City, Oklahoma.

I think the logo just changed to "GoogleKnife". Uh-oh!

Is this for real?

Yes, its real. All you guys that didn't buy a membership have only yourself to blame. :thumbdn:

As I said earlier, Apple bought out USN and it is now AppleBlades. Samsung is looking to buy a knife forum.

Am I the only one looking at the upside to this?

Searching threads-- woohoo!
The logo becoming a game on holidays-- woohoo!
Serious server performance upgrades-- woohoo!
Deep, deep, DEEP pockets for passarounds-- woohoo!

I mean, what's the worst that can happen?

I'm personally offended by everyone suggesting google is going to be a poor purchase of the blade forums. Google has demonstrated the more than capable of holding our deep felt opinions and believes in a safe easily searchable environment. I'm also personally looking forward to their purchasing patents and proprietary steel choices and heat treats from top manufacturers. I am looking forward to the no questions asked, transferable life time warranty that may come with google knives once they buy out both esee and busse.

"Google + family" appears on the Internet only on BF.

"GoogleKnife" appears on the Internet only in the big thread on this topic.

I thought AFD jokes were meant to be funny in nature. I fail to see the humor of this situation!
