did Hinderer knives lose popularity?

I finally bought a Hinderer this year, and it feels super solid, even better than ZTs I have owned. My issue with it is that it is a bit of a sharpened pry bar. My BM Bugout or Para 3 effortlessly make cuts that take several seconds with my XM-18.

Why don't you see more of the xm 18's without a choil, a spearpoint slicer grind or spanto. I look around a lot and you hardly ever see them come up for sale and when you do poof their gone pretty quick, especially the blacked out versions.

The no choil Hinderer is an exclusive with DLT Trading company so when they get them in that is where you can grab one. The Spanto and Slicer grind have not been made in the past 12+ months so they are hard to find and still very popular. Hinderer I am sure will make more in the future but just not on the docket any time soon from what I have seen.

What models are you looking at OP? Hinderer does have three other series that are currently in production. If you're looking at the XM Series that might be why you are thinking "Hinderers lost popularity."

Whitty, have you ever though of having an exclusive at your establishment? By the way, your anodizing is just amazing.

We have had 2 actually. The 1st was the Black DLC with Stonewashed Half Track. They sold out in about 2 weeks. The second is the Battle Black 3" XM-18 Coppered Out Spanto that we still have a few available. We are working on something more unique but it takes a lot more time and dialogue than most people would think. I am hoping it will be available before Blade Show 2018!
