Suppose to be new in box sprint run Para 2 grey scale.

A picture of the jimping from the side and the bar code end of the box would be nice. Looks pretty sad from here.

I wouldn't rely on the barcode. It could be a real box fake knife or the other way around. And the barcodes of genuine boxes can differ.

I live very close to spyderco, think I'll just take it to them tomorrow. If it's real they will confirm and maybe fix?

I'd say not a Spyderco manufactured product based on a few visible cues (scales, pocket-clip, finish, etc.).

Does the blade even state CTS 20CP ...?

Regards,

I just looked through about 25 different Spyderco's, and none have the jimpimg angled like that.

I think more telling is the steel under the jimping, right before the tang is rounded. It looks like pot metal, and I've never seen that before on a Spyderco.

99% sure that's not a real one

Looks like it could be real. Maybe just one that slipped through. Only one way to know for sure.

I have never seen diagonal jimping on a Spyderco. In my opinion, there is no way that knife is a real Spyderco.

I have been in contact with the member who sent it to me and he indeed seams to be a stand up guy. I'm going to run it over to spyderco tomorrow or early next week and see what they say. I'm confident it will get resolved one way or another. Thanks for all your input.

Please update the thread with whatever they say.
