No drama at all, Joe. By bringing the issue to the forum, you have helped a lot of us--certainly me for one--to be more informed about our passion. I wouldn't have it any other way.

That's why I asked what would others do. Also, the scales are kind of dirty and won't clean off. Probably from sitting on display and not hiding in a dark box. I understand all this. One last shot(ok two) at what I do not think is magnified.

I've had good luck using a Magic eraser.
 
I am shipping the correct box next week...

I am soooooo glad that this was not a knock-off (shudders)

I have purchased a bunch of Spyderco knives from the dealer where I got two of these models... and I was getting a bit paranoid about the large number I had in my collection from this dealer...

so, I have learned a LOT about this knife and I am happy with the resolution of this matter... and I truly appreciate the input from all the members here!

just shows how much I really know about the knives in my collection...

I have carried a spydie since the early 90's - and collected them for the last 20 years... and still amazed at the value they retain... or in this case the increase in value!

makes me wonder what my old BG-42 CF millies might fetch!

It's a good thread for history's sake. PM2 sprints are highly sought after and I've no doubt this will be useful to people down the road. :thumbup:
