Consider this, that money is used to pay for the goods and services we require.
A knife in the hands of a genuine collector should be worth more than the original price paid for.
I wonder how many "genuine collectors" there are.
Or quite simply that the majority of knife owners are just compulsively drawn to particular knives and become completely impulsive buyers?
Could overly compulsive buying explain the need to dispense with the excesses?
I can't see the need to regret or go sentimental over sold goods, not unless one is forced into a state of liquidity.
Material goods can only serve one's earthly needs...
