Did you ever sell a knife then were sorry you did?

NOPE.
But, cash is king...
Consider this, that money is used to pay for the goods and services we require.
A knife in the hands of a genuine collector should be worth more than the original price paid for.
I wonder how many "genuine collectors" there are.
Or quite simply that the majority of knife owners are just compulsively drawn to particular knives and become completely impulsive buyers?
Could overly compulsive buying explain the need to dispense with the excesses?
I can't see the need to regret or go sentimental over sold goods, not unless one is forced into a state of liquidity.
Material goods can only serve one's earthly needs...

a spyderco full-sized calypso with micarta scales

Oh man, I've sold to many to list that I regret selling. Same way with Guns.

Man you ain't kidding they have! The person had been wanting it for 3 years and I kinda knew the day would come that he would offer me more than I could refuse. 3x over what I paid offer(I did get a great deal when I bought it), so I let him take it, but I was still wanting to back out as I was packing it. If he wasn't such a nice guy I probaly would have.

He has a massive D' collection and wanted this one because it has the rare reverse S guard, very rare banded onxy(hard to work, D' only did a few), and was made in Phoenix also.

Wished I had kept it, but at least I know a great guy has it in his awesome D' collection.

I just sold this:
