I didn't want to give hints for this very reason. Sorry, man... but I gotta do it. To all those who have been guessing since the beginning and get screwed by the hints, if you don't win, PM your address and I'll send you a nice knife. I'm sure I can find a handful that need a new home if needed.

No winner yet, but we are finding out who are the mathematically inclined knife freaks. :)

(and I don't think anyone has ever worked this hard for an Opinel...the winner deserves a blade that never dulls.) ;)
