Congrats man. After all this, I wish it was a super dooper expensive knife, but I will say this, I have had some Opinels pass through my hands, and this one is nice.

Now, I regret giving hints because some of y'all that guessed every day got caught with a guess posted and a hint too late. I am completely serious about my earlier offer. If you are sitting at home thinking, 'well, crap, I would have guessed it if I had known that this morning' (I certainly understand), I will send you a nice knife. Dan, thank you so much! This will be my first Opinel, and the first giveaway I've ever won!

I truly hope some of the earlier posters will take you up on your offer to send them a knife also - this was my first entry in the contest, and I almost feel guilty for winning. :o I'm an old retired number cruncher, and by the time the thread got this far all the heavy lifting had already been done. The hints you gave, and a process of elimination, narrowed it down to three choices by the time it got to me. Reading about an earlier "close call", I figured 271 had to be it. ;)

I'm not sure I'm capable of taking a super arty photo, but I'll definitely post some pics when she gets here!

Although some of us were in it from the beginning, I think it would be taking advantage of a generous giveaway for us to request a knife because we guessed everyday. All in all, Thank you for the giveaway!
