Spyderco is the Checker Automobile of knives. They ain't pretty but if you take care of em' they'll last a lifetime.
Now personally, I don't subscribe to the notion that Spydies are ugly - they've produced some great looking knives - 2 recent examples are the carbon fiber Native IV and the sprint run J.D. Smith.
