Ding and paid, post your Flack Jack pictures when you get 'em

Next, I’d like to see someone use their Custom Shop Flak Jack. I can’t get myself to use mine.

Someone else go first!

YES! What he said!!!

It took me awhile to use my Axe Hammer LE. I even sold it than bought it back and still didn't use it. Finally I did and I love it and will never sell it.

I think you'll be impressed with the "stickage" that saber point grind provides. She's a stabby one! ;)

Thanks for the heads up! I like sticky and stabby :). As you can tell I can't really wait... I mean, we've been waiting since September.

I hope she throws like a champ too ;):):(:)

Wish I'd held a Axe or the likes but haven't. all I know is when I stabbed my stump for a photo pose, holy crap did it ever sink in. Wasn't really going crazy and buried that whole saber point to the next angle. It surprised me because it's not very heavy, not like when you know you got a hunk of steel in your hand with a TG, which took a couple tries for a good stick, and the SK was just a stubborn ass, but I did dull it up so I wouldn't cut myself smoothing it up with some honing.

Awesome news thanks for the info. Those were some awesome pics by the way. I thought I'd never say it but I love the snow hole in the sunlight :).

Wish I would have gotten a CG even over the tan and satin (which is my favorite combo)...

I hear ya, that's why I got all three variations, satin, CG and BG. All with black canvas because it's awesome. I'm sure more will pop up for sale on the forum or the bay. It's kind of annoying to see them already for sale on the secondary market before they all ship. I guess I'm just grumpy because I haven't even received a shipping notice yet.

I'll sell you my CG blade at cost if I decide to keep the satin blade. Maybe I'll know in a few months when I finally get mine :).

Got my snow hole yesterday and noticed some minor scratches and a stain on the pommel spike. Tried using toothpaste on a microfibre cloth to see if the stain would come right off and it did manage to lighten it a fair bit however I'm keen to get the knife looking perfect. I think I might try some green compound and try doing some tentative buffing with my dremel but if anyone has some tips for fixing up the satin finish I'd appreciate any advise.

I assume this is for a safe queen?
You might try working it out by hand with 400 grit or higher sandpaper. I’d back it with something solid. Wooden dowel, a piece of small square of hardwood, or even a piece of flat metal as a backer. So you don’t round off the corners. Unless you’d be up for a bit of “melted” treatment.
Orrrrr, you could just go out and beat the pommel mercilessly against a concrete block. You know, use it like it is meant to be used.
But seriously, if I was just trying to make it perfect, what I said first is what I’d try.

Just out of curiosity, did you get one to use as well? An SR101 version, perhaps? It is a great blade.

I missed the sale for them and only managed to get this one from the waiting list. I did actually have the intention of getting an sr101 as well for having fun with but that ended up being the one version they didnt have any left of. I have a good amount of other knives for thrashing and general use so this one was going to be a bit more of a collector piece especially since i like to collect fighters and due to its rearward balance and thinner stock i reckon thats what the flak can be classed as. Thanks for the advice too.

Damn, now that youve put the idea in my head the more i hold it the more i want to use it. Well, guess thats that problem solved

Have you browsed the Exchange? I think I’ve seen two on there already. But I believe both were INFI. There were/are probably more, or will be.

Yeah i saw those and i think youre right that there hasnt been any sr101 yet but i dont think ill bother now that ive started using my one

heres what im dealing with

First off, I agree with dogboye, when he said to smash it into some rocks. Only because I'm a user :D. But if you're set on fixing it this might give you some hope. Below is my beloved Axe Hammer that I thrash on on almost a daily basis o_O (see the other pics I've posted in this thread). The other day I thought she was looking a little rough and thought I might give her a little shine. I used, I want to say it was a 300 grit with a little bit of spit , or you can use water ;). I went with the grain and like dogboye said, used a block backer. Enough typing, here are the results.

It took a little while to get some of the deep scratches out and I did use a buffing wheel with a compound to get it to really shine but it wasn't necessary. I almost like the flat satin finish better. Hope this helps.

If all else fails just send it to me and I'll take care of it for ya ;)

Damn dude you did a good job of it. Now that im putting her to use my new problem is finding out whose making kydex pants for these.

Thanks Man! Oh I'm sure we'll start to see a number of nice sheaths once the makers start receiving their orders.

I'm hoping they fit in the axe hammer sheath cuz it's basically the same knife. Maybe I'll find out in the next year or two :) :0
