On 03DEC I ordered a Mini-Griptilian for my sister. I have not seen the knife. I paid with a MO. I have called,no answer. E-mailed, no reply. What do I do. This is p$ssing me off.

Had you checked this company out on the GB&U forum before you ordered the knife? Dirtcheapknives has a poor reputation.

Did you pay by postal money order? If so, you could have the Post Office start an investigation. They tend to look very unfavorably at this kind of activity.

I've had the same experience with dirtcheapknives.com that you had. At first, they responded to my emails about when my order would ship, after which I received no replies. If memory serves, it took about 2 weeks or so from when I ordered it to when it arrived at my door, though it could have been more. I even tried to register a complaint with yahoo shopping, but nothing came of it. I took it as a learning experience, but that was only because I eventually received my order.

Frankly Dirt Cheap Knives sucks.
I was trying to compromise for a payment for a couple of knives (I'm in Canada), and this guy called Brian (likely the owner) just rudely tell me that I should just forget about it. I was the one who was making the compromise too, and he didn't mention that he won't ship to Canada in the first place.
New Graham Knives is a much better dealer. Their prices are very low and their service is still top notch. I've ordered twice already. It was kinda sad that the bank and even USPS fumbled a valid Canada Post MO that any US Bank and USPS should cash, and costed him service charge. USPS end up getting a earful cause I think Mike lost his profit from my first order because of the service charges.
Check with the post office, if they haven't cashed it just halt the MO and spend it somewhere else.

cheaperthandirt.com is a good place to purchase knives. They have a store in my home town, Fort Worth, Texas. Very good and reputable company, the company name came to mind when I read this thread.....the word "dirt" made the connection for me..haha.

I'm sure they are two completely different outfits...

CheaperThanDirt has been around for a very long time and it's longevity seems to be a testament to its fair, if not excellent, business practice.
