I ordered a Marble's Fieldcraft from the Knifecenter last September; not my first order and the service before was great. About three weeks later I enquired as to the status of my order: sent October 12, they said. Early in November I enquired again. The original purchase had been credited against my VISA; the next VISA bill showed a reimbursement (for which, thanks!). Subsequently another enquiry was answered, Have you received the merchandise yet? Nope. Don't expect it, either. Not their usual service, to be sure. I'm not mad, just a tad disappointed. Ordered another one from another web dealer, Blowoutknifes (for less $, too). Hope Knifecenter gets their service department straightened out. They do have a good selection... but the competition is creeping up on them.

Well, "honest but struggling" seems to describe a lot of places. I'm glad that you didn't bash these guys, and join you in hoping that they'll get things better managed.

I would not condem them yet.I have delt with them, with no problem. Please keep us advised.

i hate to act on a bad moment here however i do have the fieldcraft that you are asking about and if by chance i dont have the model in particular i can have it pretty quickly.

good as the best and better then the rest.

Your knife has been shipped, I believe (I don't have your real name) We get the knives from the same place as everyone and your knife was likely the bird's eye maple which was simply unavailable for quite a while. The reason it was not shipped was not because we were "struggling" at all but the manufacturers in the cutlery industry do, indeed, struggle to keep us in stock. We are all at the mercy of the manufacturers and, when you find that the dealers do not have something it is likely that the manufacturer is not producing it at that time and that dealewr didn;'t stock up on them. We don't stock the Marbles knives but do stock over 60% of all of the items we sell and ship over 80% out within 1 working day of your placing the order. That doesn't make someone feel better when it is their order that doesn't get shipped, but it really is not usually the fault of the honorable dealer but is simply the way this industry works. We give access to thousands of products but the manufacturers are often only shipping a lim ited number of their products.
