Note regarding the Strider: I'm guessing somebody tried to fix lock stick with additional lube plus pencil.

I really enjoy taking knives apart, after a couple of weeks of break-in I take apart every single one of them for a thorough clean. Waiting a bit also gives me a bit of insight on how often I should clean and weather or not I should take any preventive measures. I rarely remember to take photos unless I see something that peaks my interest that I feel like I need to share, but browsing through this thread I definitely feel inspired to share any future tear-downs.

I recently took apart my Arcade as I found the spring was making some rubbing noises, pretty normal considering the design of it. What caught my eye is the hardness test on the blade, which isn't that uncommon, but there's also one on the lockbar too.

I love ZT, I think they are solid Company and I also like some of their new models.
This one was carried just few times, I like it a lot and it went to a very good friend of mine.
Before I sent it I wanted to make sure everything is good internally, hence the new condition.
What was my surprise when I found really dirty bearings and surfaces covered with some spotty smudge...
I cleaned everything, lubed up with minimal amount of lubricant in the bearings and it starter working like a charm !
( and yes, I'm using ceramic STP for the bearings... 🤣 )

I just can't leave a knife alone. It was very overlubed compared to the MSI I reckon to "hide" the gritty action. The interesting part was the screws that go through the spacer are much thicker than the ones up front. I'd imagine it would be the other way around, interesting what their reasoning might be. The screws on the MSI were all the same size and thickness. The Stitch is overall a meatier knife, I don't think I've seen G10 this thick on a folder before, both it and the MSI are built like tanks.
