Disassembly pics?

It was way overlubricated, oil was dripping out of the pivot on each opening. So I took it apart after less of a day owning it lol. It was surprisingly easy, screws had white threadlocker, but tastefully applied as it didn't give me much trouble. Also they've moved onto the same type of bearings as on their other folders, early gen 3 LUDTs had non-captive bearings.

One more time for the March of Dimes.

Mac 2, 3.5, V1fastback this time. Full vapor honed. Swapped for blue titanium hardware. Also ordered a backspacer but it showed for the wrong gen. Just used the blue ti standoffs while I get the right spacer.

If you haven't heard, Ferramonster is a new brand that has been making a splash on social media. They've been out for a little bit with some different frame locks. They are made in China but I don't know who is manufacturing them or if they are their own thing. While they haven't been around long, they just launched a budget sub-brand called Wixco. They've only been on sale for a week or so. I got the Axor in G10 and 14C28N and it's decent. The outer scale edges are rounded with the only crisp bit being the scale edge behind the lock bar. Lock-up is solid and the action is good.

Only two issues but not big ones. First and not major, the access holes for the clip screws forced me to go at a little bit of an angle with my driver. Second, I have to be mindful to clear the detent when closing. I normally close liner and frame locks by depressing the lock, dropping the blade to the thumb or finger depressing the lock, moving that thumb or finger, and dropping it the rest of the way. Here, there is a natural spot that wants to catch and it's a little too early.

Construction and fit seem good. The internals were a little dirty but not bad. I've seen way worse with budget knives. Of course, I've been spoiled by brands like Civivi and Kizer that tend to ship clean from the factory and without extraneous tool marks or rough spots inside.

(I may post this as a separate review but wanted to share the disassembly shots here.)
