Lol, yes, there are currently about 130 beckerheads and they have 180 to put into circulation. We (Beckerheads) have priority for the first 2 weeks at $99 + $8 shipping. After said 2 weeks, the price goes to $150 and the market opens to general public until the knives are gone. If you are a Beckerhead and miss the first 2 weeks, then you have to pay $150 like everyone else.
 
i dont care what my wife has to say, im getting mine. ill just tell her i "traded" for it, she wont know the difference....
 
Make sure Nick gets his quick...he'll need it to start working on all the BK-10 Scout Sheaths.

I was doing good knocking out the last few peices of my kit. The next $100 purchase was going to be a canteenshop tarp to go with my new ENO Doublenest and Bug Guard. Looks like it'll have to wait too.

ONE THOUGHT: Is there some sort of password, code, ID check other than Beckerhead Number? Because anyone can go in a thread and get a list of numbers and say, "I'm Joe Smith, Beckerhead #___ I need it shipped to _____" Just wondering if anyone has considered this?

From Bladite's post: "Must verify BH # / Bladeforums identify when ordering, addresses must match."

From the BH thread: "On approval, you will need to email (to moosez45): Your name, Forum name, Address, Email, and Phone number."

If you've moved and Moose doesn't have your current address, you might want to fix that.

How does one update their address?
 
if you are a Beckerhead, mail moosez45 your new one and he'll change it. If you aren't, you can't.
 
LostViking is BH #024. LV, if you need to update your address, just click on Moose's username and then choose Send Email.

well, that's a good question. right now, elves are sharpening them, and polishing the edges with smurf tears in a secret cavern somewhere in a runderground emote forest, can't say where, national security thing, you know?

however, when they're read for sale, the mods will get theirs first to tease you all with.

1) i imagine the best way to handle it, is that we'll have an "i'm in" signup/buy sub-thread for the BeckerHeads linked to these threads as a forum thread is much more able to absorb the onslaught. posting commits you to buying one. so, don't post if you aren't going to buy. this isn't a contest. chatting will LIKELY be frowned on hard.

2) someone (moose? maybe me, maybe guyon) will then have to take each name as it comes, in order, verify your on file address, phone, and email particulars. update them NOW if anything has changed), because that's likely what KaBar will use...

3) posting your intent to buy is your PERMISSION to send the shipping information (and phone and email?) to Kabar to start processing - this will save a lot of work, as they can cut and paste and have a master list, in the order received, so as not to slight anyone - no information will be given out i'm sure, that you wouldn't give out anyway to buy something - we value your privacy. KaBar will not sell to anyone that doesn't come through this way, so don't try :) you have to be on the posts and list we send them.

4) each post will be marked "verified" (and possibly you'll receive email from us or them) to be positive that you've been processed at which point it's a simple matter to figure out how to give KaBar monies. they have a variety of ways to do this. your package will ship out to the address we have on file. what could be simpler?

this is just a suggestion btw, KaBar may have other opinions, and i'm not volunteering the other mod's time without their input :) but it seems workable.

as well of course, once the two weeks are up, a normal buying procedure will go into place, and the price goes UP. i imagine KaBar will still enforce the one per customer thing. up to them. they will have covered all the BH that want one, and that's the important part.

I plan to paint and strip mine several times.
 
This is gonna be just awesome. I'm bouncing around here like a little kid on christmas, which is not good because it keeps me from working and earning money for the knife!
