Disccusion: Beckerhead BK-10 Special (was: Don't you just HATE it when ...)

As long as its not dependent on a call from me and I can use paypal or credit card, i'm happy, if not, i guess I will have to coach my wife through it. lol. that would be very interesting, i'd prob end up with a gerber... and she would say, its the same dang thing! :shudder:
 
If there is a need to call in, I hope some con US brothers will step up for us foreigners... :D
 
yeh my above post about not caring what my wife says...um...that was posted while locked in the basement hiding behind a couch....the smoother and more ONLINE the process the better if ya catch my drift....btw dont tell her.....
 
My guess is of the approx 120 becker heads, only about half are gonna get one. For reasons of finance, not paying attention or just having their hobbies shift. I may buy a second one, to sell to one of those lucky souls at a highly inflated price.

o Must verify BH # / Bladeforums identify when ordering, addresses must match.

o No engraviing of names / numbers / etc.

it was a Day 0 rule - read the sticky carefully. might contain other surprises. especially on the pricing - $99 for BH only, and ONLY for the first 2 weeks. after that, FULL PRICE for EVERYONE. if you are a BH, and you fail to buy in that 2 week validation period, you do not get the special price. we'll have to keep saying this, but there it is.

125ish Beckerheads (VERY special price) < 180* knives < general population (full price)

you can kinda see where the math goes. if we let everyone buy 2 or more... some BHs would get none, neh? limited suppy thing, KaBar's rules (fair but mean!)

now, AFTER the two week period, when they go full price, MAYBE they'll allow a double tap, but full-price, yah?

so if you need 2, get a BH buddy who isn't going to buy anyway to help you out.

*180? probably more like 170 or less counting various issues as previously mentioned (and more: tests, mistakes, bad blanks, previous sales, contest fodder, etc)

if every available BH buys one, there's still some for the lucky general population to play as well. i suspect 1/3 to 1/2 of them will be sold to BHs. so, everyone wins.

Im gona feel blessed to own just one. Like a small piece of history that I can beat the crap out of. Kinda like having one of the ten commandment slabs and then hacking away at it with a Becker knife
 
I will be working with Kabar to ensure, as much as possible, that Beckerheads that want to buy one, will have it all setup.

Lemme get my stuff together, and speak with Kabar, to see what they need for verification. As of right now, we were going to match up shipping address with the addresses that were provided for your BH#, but we have a few movers.

We may do a signup thread, and those of you will be emailed a 4 digit order code that you will need to include with your order.

Not sure, stay tuned, all will be made clear, but the idea is to get ya'll some knives, we will facilitate that.

For the guys that can't make a call to the US, I will do everything I can to make sure you get your knives. You may be emailing me or Kabar the order or something, but it will happen, promise. Overseas, just expect to pay some more for shipping. Its a fact of life, we can't get around sometimes.
