Disccusion: Beckerhead BK-10 Special (was: Don't you just HATE it when ...)

Ok so I remember it being talked about and now that it's somewhat confirmed UPS is the carrier how would one go about obtaining a tracking number if one was to say, not want to freak out for the next day?? :-)...or not wanting to bug Ka-Bar who have been oh- so gracious....

Cuz if it doesn't come tomorrow, I'm freakin out over the weekend!! :-)

If they told you they would have to kill you....most likely with a BK10. So just suffer and whimper with the rest of us.

May I keep the BK10 after they are finished? :-)

I feel the suffer, but try not to whimper too much for our other Becker Brothers that for some reason couldn't order the BK10 yet/at all.

Carry on, nothing to see here....haha

From UPS to me guys, this a C&P from an email I got from them.

Severe Weather Impacting UPS Service

We would like to advise you that last night’s severe weather in Louisville, KY, caused significant disruption to operations at Worldport, our main operations center in the U.S. As a result, some shipments may experience unavoidable delays. Shipments impacted by this event will indicate a weather delay when tracking on ups.com.

The UPS Service Guarantee does not apply when transportation networks are disrupted due to conditions beyond our control. Please refer to the Service Update on ups.com for the latest information.

Thank you for the business you entrust to UPS.

i hear that many UPS trucks were sucked into a tornado. BK10s in Oz...

beam us up Dorothy

Funny, when I mailed my 10 to Gundude this week that sign at the UPS office distinctly caught my eye. We are not responsible for severe weather causing delays. Nevermind, not so much funny as frighteningly sad.

they're not responsible *but* you can often make them refund the shipping cost if the delay was ... excessive. been there, done that.

esp if you PAID for overnite or express. guarantees are great, until they're not. though *guaranteed overnite delivery* - gotta read the fine print on that. if they fail, money back ;) esp for perishable goods. insurance. which you expect them to pay out on.

My wife and I ordered a couple life jacket for kayaking last summer and when I checked the UPS tracking one day it said delayed due to train derailment  the life jackets came a couple days later and the box was all smashed :) but the contents were just fine. we still laugh about it.

Sounds like the true story line of "unbreakable"

Ok fixed. I cannot let this opportunity slip. I would think it would automatically have email set to ON but I guess not. Took me a good 10 mins to try and figure out how to turn it on. BK10...my hands are itchin for it.

also, just so I know, how are Warranty issues handled with BH10?

ah, what a joke master you are :)

probably, if you break one, there will be laughter, and you might be offered a BK2. since there aren't like, any BK10s to swap back with.
