Discontinued Golden-made Spyderco owners--show your knives!

I lived in Boulder in the late '80's. Golden seemed SO FAR away. (I had a Vic SAK and a Gerber lockback then - had never heard of a Spyderco. Too bad for me.)

You didn't answer if past Sprints count, so I'll post mine here:

I don't have any new ones to add to this thread other than a second UKPK, also a blue drop point. (This time it's GIN-1 instead of CTS-BD1.)

Para Military 2 or Manix 2. If made outside the US is fine then I'd warmly recommend a Sage 1

You need a Golden, CO made Spyderco. The PM2 is pretty awesome, as is the Manix 2 lw for a smaller budget. ($115 PM2, $50 for a used Manix lw.)

If you want to shop around, any of the older ones like the Leafstorm, UKPK (in stock at Knifeworks for $40), the T-Mag, Dodo, etc. are all great.

Just don't buy a Spyker, Lil' Temperance, WTC, Ti ATR, mini Manix, Gunting, or C23 Renegade. (Those are the ones I need.)

Actually, I would recommend that you go to their outlet store. The prices are higher than retail, but you can handle the knives. That way, you can find one that you like, and then buy it cheaper online.

I also like the look of the Native, but it's a little small for my meat hooks, and backlocks are not my fave. If your priorities are different, it'll be worth a look. My brother loves his.

Go to the factory in Golden. They have virtually everthing available at the factory outlet store and are happy to let you handle them.

Good luck with that. I've been going to gun/knife shows for 40 years and mine, the one in the picture, is the only one I've seen. It's the little brother to the Renegade which is also rare as hens teeth, especially in plain edge.

Did you read the whole first page? Your answer lies within the first page's bowels. No, the PM2 is not discontinued. READ THE FIRST PAGE.

The satin PM2 goes for $115 to $140.
