Discount Knives

Has anyone had contact with Discount Knives in the past week or so? I sent an email last week inquiring about some items being available and never got a response. This was after numerous unsuccessful phone calls (line busy).

I finally decided to just place an order and see what happens. I left a comment on the order to please send me an email if an of the items were out of stock (several Christmas gifts). No response from that either.

I'm sure Brian is are super busy during the holidays so I can understand most of this. Still a little surprised that I've had no response in this amount of time.

Any thoughts beside just waiting to see if my order shows up?
 
We exchanged emails a couple of days ago. He was also out of stock for some Opinels that I'm interested in (stocking stuffers). Try to resend the email again, I think his email server is a bit glitchy once in a while.

He responds to my emails pretty quick. Either he's too busy (though he will still respond even if he is), or the server is burping again.

I had the same problem, But I did finnaly get thu and I asked Brian about this and he told me that he know this sounds bad, but he takes the phone off the hook after 12 or else he wouldnt have the time to ship his orders out, think he said that there is only three of them working on it all for now and it keeps them busy this time of year.

So I wouldnt worry about your order, I bet its already gone out. I ordered some stuff from Brian and it only took about 4 days to get it!

I’m sorry about being slow answering e-mails. In the past week I’ve received over 150 e-mails a day, so I’m a little behind in answering some of the questions. Hopefully I’ll be able to catch up this weekend.

The phone system is only disconnected during non business hours as our phone bill was over $600.00 a month prior to doing this. People would call but not leave a message, but we’re charged for each connection.

Ordered from Brian late last week by securenet transaction Thurs PM and received two knives in mail today. Very good service.
 
Thanks everyone for the feedback. Did get a message from Brian for more information which I responded to this morning. Hopefully this will get resolved soon.

Seems to me like my order might have gotten lost in the holiday shuffle. I did receive an auto confirmation from my order Sunday night but no charges have been put through on my credit card.

I understand the email backup. Sometimes it seems impossible to stay caught up.

I've had great experiences with Brian and Discount Knives.
It's true that he's almost impossible to reach by telephone, but he gets back to you by email.
Like everyone else, the Holidays bring great demand in filling and shipping orders.
I just received an order placed a week ago over his secure server, and expect another later this week.
He usually turns them around in 3-4 days.
I have not spoke with him over the telephone in months. It simply is not necessary. And his prices are great.
