Discrete gents folder?

I carry my BM 690 as my current gent's knife. It is a little on the larger side, however it is VERY sharp, and VERY strong. I bought my boss a BM 770 for his Bday. He liked it, and the knife was nice, just TOO small for my large man hands!

My Viele has been slightly modified. I actually made up new handle scales for the FIRST VIELE I had. Lock-up problems developed, and Spyderco (Great Company) replaced the piece no questions asked. The scales I made really didnt fit the new knife well, why I DO NOT know, but it at least LOOKED sharp.

All William Henry's are pretty AND functional. I most likely will receive at least two for my college grad.

I am serioulsy considering a Sebenza as my ONLY carry knife. On hip with clip in jeans, on hip in calf skin pouch with slacks.

I have also customed my MINI STRYKER with some thin wood scales instead of the G10 it shipped with. Looks nice.

Never handled one myself but the Gigand Tighe Tac is a smallish "discreet" folder, and quite elegant in styling.... You can see it at 1SKS site...

I have several small "Gent" knives. I really like the looks of carbon fiber, thus the SOG Gent. It has a tiny (1.75 in.) lock-back, razor sharp blade and weighs 0.5 oz. I keep it with my passport. I also have a carbon fiber scale Spyderco "Dragonfly". The next small knife will be a Chris Reeve "Umfaan". I'm so impressed with the Small Sebenza that I've had for a little over two weeks that an Umfaan will be next. I realize that it's supposed to be OK to get on an airliner with a blade that's under four inches in length, and a Small Sebenza would definitely fit into that catagory, but it looks bigger. I don't want to take the chance of having my Sebbie "confiscated" in some European airport. An Umfaan won't be a problem. (I hope!) Oh, I almost forgot. I'm a "Toad" lover too! I was looking at a magazine article last week that was titled, "The Finer Things Of Life". One of the "Things" pictured was an open Spyderco Toad.

Whoa!

Thanks guys! That was a great responese and a lot of food for thought!
First of all; I love the WH Carbon Kestrel and if it wasn't because I went overboard after getting my BM Mini-TSEK a couple of weeks ago and ordered a BM 720, I would have ordered the WH right away!
However, that certainly would be cause for sleeping on the couch for some time!:-)
Based on my own thoughts and your input, I think I might spring for a BM 335 "money clip" soon and the WH after that!
God, I am slipping deeper and deeper into the abyss, right?

Great weekend to you all and many thanks!
Bo

Any of the higher end Moki gent knives would be very nice. I have the Glory model, and it is an excellent piece of knifemaking craft. Fit & finish are the best I have seen for a factory folder.

Probably the best combination of non-threatening appearance and great eye appeal would be the Case 'Canoe' or 'Butterbean' patterns with scrimshaw scales.

Members of both sexes seem to find these knives very appealing and non-threatening.

Even the gentle sex want to fondle and examine it (the knife).

Had to post a correction to my earlier post... The Tighe Tac is a CRKT not a Gigand, which just makes all the more reason to get one...

BM 770....850.....940/942 all good. Other brands have good one's too. I'm just partial to BM's and I have the above and like them.

I recently purchased a Benchmade 690, a real sharp looking and classy knife. Even my non-knife nut friends coment on how nice it is. Very sheeple friendly

Take a look at the new Mnandi coming from CRK. There's a pic in their forum in a post by the same name.
