Kallisti,
As I mentioned in your other thread 'stuff happens'. I think Spark is offering you an incredible compensation by giving you one at 'their' cost plus shipping. Let yourself cool down and go shopping... After paying for your second knife and realizing what Spark is offering you'll likely feel all warm and fuzzy once again... Great knife deals always do that for me at least. Also, by ordering a second time you are in the best position to evaluate the changes they've recently made and your input would be invaluable to the success of any future transactions overseas. Take the high road and enjoy the heck out of a great knife deal!!!!

Give him credit for trying to get right with you. Not many Companys would pay your next shipping charge. I can say I ordered a knife for a gift. I did order online by credit card and ship to a address different that the card address. All this with a special discount they were doing at that time for forum members. I did get the discount and my friend got his knife in 3 days. That is very good service. Give old Spark another shot and I bet you will be very pleased in the long run.

Figured I better put my post in both spots.

I understand how frustrating it is to have a deal not go as planned. I think most of us here can relate to that. But, nobody's perfect, and mistakes happen. An honorable man steps up and admits his mistake and attempts to square the deal. I think Spark has taken outstanding steps to 1) ensure that this kind of thing doesn't happen to someone else,2) to get your purchase to you as rapidly as possible, and 3)to sweeten the deal so you won't feel bad about him or the deal already in play.
Spark owned the mistake and did the honorable thing. Kallisti- give the man a chance-order something else and see what Spark can really do. His customer service is usually beyond reproach.

See my reply in the other forum.

I agree nobody's perfect. That doesn't excuse bad customer service. However, Spark has responded in an honourable way above and beyond any expectation I had and it looks like I will be using their service soon.

The way I see it, we can either dwell on the mistakes we've made, or do what we can to salvage the situation and make everyone happy. This is the best way I know to do the latter, hopefully everyone will approve.
