  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Distal taper handle

Thank you all for your help, guys . I finished this project and I'm more than happy with the result .The overall length is 22.5cm. and the widest part of the blade is 4cm. and spine 5mm . The total weight of the knife is 180 grams ....... I decide no hard chrome ....I like how it look now .I sharpened it 15 degrees per side on 400 grit stone and it cut very aggressive ....

Color me impressed, I think you did a great job. I like how you forged ahead with your idea even though you where outside the box. I fell in love with those types of grinds on the last sew seax blades I made. Not having plunge cuts sure makes things a bit easier to grind don't it. I don't know the actual date but I was told that back in the day blades did not have plunge cuts. The plunge cut was a more modern invention. When I say modern I mean like dark ages modern. But like I said I don't know the actual date. Good job it looks great, keep up the good work.

I'm glad you like what I done , JT . It means a lot to me when it comes from real knifemaker ................

I think I'll try to make another one .My son kinda weird looking at this one .. . . and ask when I will make sheath :(

I though it looked like it could be walnut, it's one of my favorite woods - I have a walnut butcher block desk at home :)

How many knives had you made before this one?
