Ball watches are great. I would love to have that one.Soooo...as I've just sold my first really big personal piece, I'm pondering a nice heirloom watch to celebrate. I think I've settled on this Ball Skindiver III BeyondEven the bezel is tritium backlit

love a blue rubber strap on a dive watch and on a great watch there.....even better.....Not everyone can make the DSSD look like it fits on their wrist.

This Rubberb strap is much better (more flexible and conforms to wrist) than my older straps for Rolex that I got rid of for Everest straps. Love how it adds more color along with the "blue to black fade" dial.

I was waiting for this. I remember from WUS that you had a rather impressive collection. May I ask what's on the mesh in the top left box? I can't tell if it is a PO or vintage (or something else)This picture of mine is 5 years old, and I have more watches now; and with a few changes in the meantime, namely ALL of the Rolex have been replaced with newer and different models, etc... I think I have enough divers in the mix. I have 4 Rolex Divers now, and more Seiko Turtles, and now 10 Solar watches (mostly Divers) from Citizen and Seiko.
Someday I'll update the group photo.

Not shown - Seiko PADI turtle, Blue Lagoon Turtle, King Seiko green waffle dial Turtle, Citizen Promaster x4, Seiko PADI solar diver, NTH Amphion Sub, NTH Naaken Sub, SD43, DSSD D-Blue x2, Hulk...
Working in a power plant, the Hydrocarbon Original seemed like the best choice...and that flat sandwich tritium dial is amazingGreat choice
I had the Skindiver II before I thinned my watch collection down, and it was one of my favorites I've ever owned. That thing was a light show. It was only after I sold it that I realized it was the T100 version. I haven't been following things as much lately, so that's the first I've seen of the III. That bezel isindeed

That’s awesome! What model is it?

Ah, I thought that might be what it was. I really wish I had picked one of those up when WatchCo was still putting them out and they could be purchased reasonably. IMO that watch is about as about as cool as it gets. It’s a WatchCo Seamaster 300 (NOS original omega case and parts) with a vintage 1972 1500 series movement I think, With date. It came with the genuine Omega shark mesh and also the 1171 bracelet, that also works with my Speedmaster Pro moonwatches. Never letting that one go![]()
Yep, I got very lucky to be able to buy it directly from WatchCo down under for around $3000 for the whole package. Last I checked prices had almost doubled.Ah, I thought that might be what it was. I've always admired the 1171 bracelet from afar, and I'm a huge fan of the mesh personally as well. I picked up the factory Omega mesh from the boutique a few years back to wear on my (birth-year) Cosmic, but I throw it on my PO occasionally for that vintage vibe (pictured on page 3 of this thread).
I have that same citizen on the left, and actually have two of them because I gave one to my brother who passed away two years ago. It’s a great little watch. It’s funny when I’m calling a 40 mm watch little, but I’m usually wearing a 44 mm DSSD or a 45 mm Planet Ocean because I have wide wrists.View attachment 1986264
I’m reposting these to say that the Citizen has me spoiled. The crown at 4:00 is a huge improvement over 3:00
I wonder why its not more common?CoryMc showed a Seiko crown at 4:00.
jbmonkey the (Citizen watch king) has Citizens crown at 4:00 and 8:00.
Sometimes a little detail that makes a huge difference to one guy, doesn’t matter to anyone else.
Really nice watches everyone. I’m literally swimming in the shallow end of the pool. Lol.
