I recently purchased these on the "Gadgets" thread, I didn't really need them, but I had some $$ burning a hole in my pocket and they looked nice;

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=813445

I figured if nothing else, I could gift them to someone. Uh-uh, baby!, these are mine!

The pen features flawless fit and finish, with a tight lockup and an excellent feel in the hand. The cap lineup is perfect and tightly fitted.

The cap barrel is brass lined so the acrylic isn't in direct contact with the rest of the mechanism, it should last forever.

Turning is smooth and even with positive stops at open and close. No "jiggly, cheap pen-guts" feel to it.

The body is an actual spent case, in this instance: a Lake City 69 30-06. The nib is a perfect fit at the tip and runs smoothly.

The scratches and dings he refers to (under the clearcoat) only serve to further distinguish the character of the pen.

I've handled and used pens costing way more than this that didn't feel or work this nicely.

The firesteel is just as well made with a nice feel in the hand. The lanyard hole is brass lined and David included a nice lanyard.

The acrylic on both the pen and the firesteel are solid color all the way through, so any scratches should be inconsequential.

Both items arrived well and attractively packed, as well as quickly.

Communication was excellent and friendly. In fact, I just found out this was his first set done in acrylic.

I'll probably order another and keep these as a "First" set. Sounds like he could use any material you wanted.

Keep an eye out, I have a feeling you'd better get yours soon before the guy has to start a waiting list.

One of the absolute best buys I've made here at BFC.
