DLT dropped a batch of XM-18’s at 3:00. I had decided to get one, was already logged in, and had it in my cart. My payment info was pre-loaded but was still not fast enough to finish the transaction.

Anybody else pull up an empty hook? I assume this is a sign to be patient and wait for a non-flipper.

I did exactly the same thing.

Didn't see any lefties.

How long did the drop last?

The GECs last about 15-30 seconds. No exaggeration.

I'm with snuffle... Ain't nothing Material that I'm gonna wait and fight just to get... I'm a "go with the flow" kind of guy these days. The right stuff will come along, if I gotta try and force it, it just feels wrong...

Fast enough to disappear during checkout…so, a couple of minutes maybe?

Not like it was some time consuming thing - go to website, select which version, pointlessly try to check out.

Having spent a lot of time on the traditional end of this forum, I think it is more about bragging rights and investment/flipping opportunities. Doubtful that someone constantly buys as many as allowed/possible of one single model whenever they can is just a simple user.

OP, I’m sure you’ll find the same knife elsewhere (S45VN Spanto ?). Nationalknives had it yesterday.

I still prefer to order directly from the Manufacturer. I think it cuts down on the chance of not getting what you ordered...
Not a knock against DLT. I know that they're solid...

DLT is one of the biggest dealers and I have found sometimes on drops that things which are gone in literally fractions of a second there take at least 30 seconds elsewhere.

Just to be clear, I didn't intend this to a big deal or an airing of drop grievances. 😆

DLT has always done a great job on my purchases, and I understand the process. I do find the extreme demand to be a bit odd, but that just reflects the gap between supply and the price. Manufacturer sells to dealer who sells to customer (or a reseller who wants in on the action.)
