Why the bottom corner?
I want to mod a 2D maglite with a glass breaker. Don't want to buy one of those pretty ones. I haven't been able to find anyone who sells carbide tips as replacement parts. I've seen easy mods using a SS bolt ground to a point. Will that work? What about a carbide drill bit? Somebody must have a way. Thanks

Thevies, Vandals use to use "automatic center punch" to pop car windows, They are cheap and easy to carry.

This was a very useful thread, and I am glad someone brought it up. I liked the tip of using the corners and making an X with the carbide tips... Who cares if it's a 6 years old thread.
What I heard about carbide tips on house glass is that breaking house glass with steel makes shards, while carbide makes a chain reaction that makes tiny pebbles...
It seems to me spring loading prevents your arm from going into the path of falling glass.
