Do I dare say it?

Whoops good catch I missed that when I posted or I would have been more clear.

That's what I used to think. The right serrations are as easy, just different.
My plain edges will cut anything a serrated blade can with same level of ease. With a plain edge, you can push cut through material with little movement. A serrated edge requires a back and forth movement to be effective. I’d have to say ease of maintenance goes to the plain edge though.

I’ve personally noticed they cut the more difficult things easier while saving the plain edge, eg. thick strapping on on pallets etc
Sometimes edge geometry and angle of approach can make the difference in being able to make the cut or not.

My serrated edge push cuts paper and cardboard. 🤷‍♂️

I guess that depends on the spacing of your serrations, but I’m not impressed with combo/serrated edges on my EDCs. I guess when you’re a knife maker, you can make em to your liking!

And super easy to maintain. Both as a user, i.e. ceramic honing/stropping, and as a maker, i.e. regrinding the beveled side thinner behind the edge after many sharpenings, and then touching up the scallops on the dremel whence they came.

To each their own. But I do think they serve a purpose and aren’t just eye candy. Although for me they are.

Yessir my friend, exactly. And so that they will work as well for anyone else as they do for me.

Bob Denman Bob Denman , I regret to inform you that I see a sawtooth spine on a knife like a big wart on a princess.

The original image contains someone's real name and phone number. Might want to go back and blur that out, or just delete it and upload a different pic. If it is really a Lowe's customer and you work there, you could be in some deep shit for sharing a customer's Personally Identifiable Information.
Yea I knew the name was there. Didn’t even realize the phone number. That’s my mistake. I’m new to the office side of things. Didn’t even realize. I’m in the office due to a injury. Usually I’m pulling orders and loading flatbeds.

Back to the OP, can't say I have much love for Benchmade but they do have a few gems, please let me know when you decide to part with the Reeses.
I love Benchmade as a company. They were very good to us in the military. Hell my sales rep still occasionally sends me swag packs. Just got stickers and a Ranger cap last month. They have an outstanding customer service. They have great knives. My only gripe is how much that butterfly tax is. When I buy Benchmade I try to buy used. A good deal on a used Benchmade is usually a very good deal. But new is slightly outrageous. IMO, as both a customer, user, and former seller. After the military I worked at a gun shop (largest in my area) we were authorized as Benchmade, Kershaw, and Leatherman dealers.

I love all knives. But even to this day, Kershaw or Benchmade is usually what’s in my pocket
