Do you scoop the goods out & weigh them to check? :D

Oh yeah I send it all out for chemical analysis too then start a thread on a board to whine because I have nothing else to do..... LOL :D

Oh, you have to do that with the Smuckers PB&J. They could have the jelly to peanut butter ratio off by 1/2 oz or so. :D

I'll be firing up the grill in an hour or so myself.

The bottom line is .........is it Really that Important if there' a varation of 1/2 oz:eek:

Not to me, but there's one group I'm familiar with that go ape over stuff like that: ultralight backpackers. There are people who cut the tags out of their clothes and trim the borders off maps to save weight. A 1/2 ounce difference in a knife is a really big deal to some of them.

But I don't think they represent the other 99% of us.

Why even get involved in a thread where a question is answered with a question?
No, bottom line is wait for a thread you can attack and complain about to cover your own misery.

You should have posted this in whine and cheese. What did you honestly expect in a thread complaining about .55 ounces?

Because it was a leading question that implied a deliberate deception for the purpose of somehow cheating customers. It's sorta like asking "Do you still beat your wife?"

Perhaps you would have gotten more tempered answers if you had asked a question like "Kershaw says the X weighs Y but my calibrated scales say it weighs Z. I wonder why there's a difference?" You might have even gotten a response from the Kershaw factory rep who frequents this forum.

Think of things like a philanthropist DB. Any relation btw? Your post has brought the miserable lot of us so much joy. You must be doing something right. Welcome to Blade Forums man. ;)

I suppose some us are about 1/2 p*ssed off (I am, and hot from working outside) and you provided a valuable service with your post suggesting that the biggest knifemakers are lying to us and shaving weight in their literature to mislead us into buying their products. I don't think they are.

As Ankerson suggested, a lot of things transpire from batch to batch and from a prototype to the finished product. Don't worry about it dude and thanks for being a good sport. :)

Now your Jesus answering a question with a question?

Next knife you get cover you eyes like your gif and hope its not cheese weiss

Oh no, Goober Grape is the only way to go for a PB&J!

Yeah all done here, nothing like a good steak on the grill. :D

Wonder if I should have weighed it 1st, then weighed it again after to see if it was off more than .5 Ounces.....

I'm not off topic. The way you phrased your original post made it more appropriate for the whine and cheese forum. Are you that thick headed to realize that? Yes, another question. OMG!#%!

Way to go antagonizing Kershaw with their devious schemes to make their knives appear lighter than they actually are.

If you think Kershaw has it out to get people by masking their knife weights, wow, you have way too much time on your hands. I would put money on it that you're in the minority of people that buy knives...and weigh them. The rest of us take it out of the box and use it to cut something with.

It's already been answered that there are tons of variables that could have effected the weight of a production knife.

You want Kershaw to write you a personal letter of apology that your knife is heavier than advertised? Oh no...another question. (It's called rhetoric).

My mommy cut off the crust on my PB & J sammich, and when I took out my calibrated scale to weigh it, I was short changed .25oz. I was so mad.
