Hello:
There are Two sides to every story. Bob picked up a knife at a show. Small Carson, list at $375, he said he would charge the makers list price. Got back to me after the show, says I owe him $465. Ouch. He backed down to 425, but by then I had it with constant e-mails and even a phone call after I specifically asked him not to call. Yes, I backed out of the deal, but only after he pushed things to far. I would have paid the 425 if he would have backed off. Now he slams ME!! I will NEVER deal with him again, and I wish I would hav listened to the fine folks in the forums and not dealt with him in the first place. I guess a leopard CAN"T change his spots....

Greg

No matter what lies you tell about this deal
Greg, you know the truth, and it isn't what you are saying it is.

I refuse to continue with this forum hogwash anymore.

Anyone that wants to deal with me can. Those that don't. Just don't.

I have done business with Greg, and he is a good guy...unforuntately, he never got the knife. Thanks USPS!!!

Not to take away from this B.S., but did you ever get squared up on that deal?

All I can say about Bob is, he's always tooting his own horn, and trouble follows him where ever he goes on the forums. He keeps making these promises, but never follows though. If he has something you like, at a price you like, buy it, otherwise, it's best to not interact with someone you have a personality conflict with, especially on the forums. NOT TRASHING YOU BOB, JUST STATING THE FACTS. Then again, this may all be a misunderstanding.

Bob - After all of the trouble that you've had with the fine folks on BladeForums, have you ever stopped to wonder whether you might actually be the cause of all the trouble? I mean, you seem to be the common denominator there. Your "poor l'il ole me, I'm always gettin' beat up by those mean nasty forumites" routines are growing tiresome. Every time one of these "Bob" threads pops up again, you always say that you're not going to continue with this "forum nonsense" anymore, yet here we are again. I suggest that you take a good hard look at yourself and how you interact with others over the internet. Just maybe you'll realize that this type of interaction might not be best suited to your particular personality traits.

And Bob, please no e-mails, calls, or threats of lawsuits...

Thank you Senator for your fine evaluation of my personality. I will make sure that my shrink is aware of your thoughts.

I believe that in my zeal, sometimes I can jump to conclusions. But it is always my intention to do the right thing.

This is directed at Jackyl:

It sure is funny that I have had many, many successful transactions with very happy customers both before and after you put your 2 cents in to things that don't concern you.

But, it is amazing that whenever something goes on that affects me, you and senator are always right there to add insult to injury or just attempt to give me more aggrevation. Sounds to me like someone else is tooting their horn trying to make themselves seem important not me.

Come to think about it, you seem to have something to say no matter what the issue is. Boy, it sure is funny how you were still willing to do business with me after our last transaction even though you sure had soooo many complaints about it.

Have anything else to say about this deal that doesn't concern you after Greg and I have already resolved the issue?

If you do, why don't you make yourself look more foolish. Or maybe you can do something constructive like get a life!

I say it again. If anyone that has had a transaction with me is not happy with the outcome, let me know it. I have been totally fair with everyone that I have dealt with. Period.. I will continue to be no matter what you guys write in this forum about me.

This issue involved Greg and myself. We managed to resolve this issue ourselves. I may have over reacted to bring it to this forum because there was major miscommunications going on.

Of course, you wouldn't know about that. All you know is: GB&U, Bob Glassman.. Sounds like the time to jump on top again.

Over and above the resolved issue that this is about, my complaints are primarily about the people that consistently stick their nose into matters that don't involve them and are none of their D*m business.

Uhhhhhh, I wonder who that is. Will the real culprits please stand up... Hmmmmm. Well, I don't see anyone standing.. I wonder why. Well, Jackyl? Your not standing.. Hmm.. you should be!!!!!!!!

Good show Bob...loaded with class!!!

YOU were the one to come to me about my Sebenza...did we make a deal? Hell no we didn't. Second, you keep dragging this on. You came crying to me in email earlier, I ingored it...much later, you came BITCHING to me, in email, I ignored it, so you bring it here. Drop it already. I don't think my coments were at all that bad considering...

...who needs a life? I never would have said anything had you not slammed someone I know to be a "good guy." Crawl back into your hole "BLADESMITH."

FYI, I began my first post to this thread before you stated that the matter had been solved, so I wasn't trying to start anything after the matter had already been handled as you hinted. It would be interesting, however, to know just how the matter was "solved" though. Funny how after all the emails and eventually going public with it, the matter was simply dropped.

Why in public?

Mike or Spark,

Now do you see why I asked to be a moderator here at BladeForums? I would have closed this one before it turned into the pissing contest that it has.

Hmmm...now WHERE is that urinal???

Dan, if you had closed this thread, it wouldn't be so much fun to read. Cougar does a great job with this forum. He lets it accomplish its goal without to much interference. It is usually pretty easy to tell who is right and who is wrong. Especially when someone gets slammed unecessarily for trivial reasons and erroneous assumptions. You have to sort of let these threads play out until it is obvious what the truth is
smile.gif

Bob, you have been repeatedly involved in GBU threads. In this case, YOU flamed someone else first over a deal gone bad. Maybe you should not use the GBU to criticize others when you know that there are some here who will end up attacking You. Especially if it looks like you are profiteering.

I don't know who is right and who is wrong in this case. I agree that it sometimes seems like you are being ganged up on. But it is also clear that you sort of inspire some folks who have very strong opinions about how deals should work and are very well respected for their honor in trading. Your reputation is not so exemplary. I don't know why, or if it is even right, or fair. But it is obvious that You help create an atmosphere of tension. How much money did you expect to make for making the purchase for Greg?

Maybe it would be best for you Not to start threads with the header, Do Not Do Business with XXXXX since there are plenty of folks who feel that way about you. Stay out of GBU as an attacker, and Maybe you won't be such a frequent target yourself.

I've been giving some thought to locking this thread as the discussion between Bob Glassman and Jackyl does seem a bit pointless and probably not of general interest ... but on the other hand, some people might feel they're getting useful insight into the personalities of people they might consider dealing with ... and others might find it amusing (many people enjoy watching someone else make a fool of himself; it reassures them to see that there are people in this world even more foolish than they are) ... and if others find it boring or distasteful, well, they don't have to read it ... it's surely clear to everyone that this thread has drifted to a different topic, isn't it?

As always, all decisions of the moderator (me) are open to discussion and criticism. I welcome discussion of policy and I'd much rather have it posted than in private email -- when I get a complaint or a few complaints about something in email it's hard to tell whether it represents a consensus of the members or an opinion held by only one or a few members. Some moderators of other forums have gotten themselves into real trouble taking one or two emails to represent the will of the members, and then when they take action based on that assumption it turns out most of the members hold the opposite opinion, and would have said so if they'd known there was any discussion about it going on....

I don't have a strong feeling that this sort of discussion between members who aren't involved in a transaction should be allowed ... I'm open to the idea that maybe I should be moderating a little more vigorously around here ... the idea is worth discussing. Don't worry about offending me; this is not one of those forums where the moderator thinks he's God.

I think it is all very entertaining and should be left alone. The people speaking have all had experience with each other.

Most of this should be heard and decided on by everyone in the forums. IMHO
