As you may know, 415 is an area code in the San Francisco area.. so your coords in Calif may be from the Bay Area? Just a guess. Good luck!

I love the way you think.....basically "because I dodged a few bullets, I can godge them all"

Whatever works for you.

Don't try to defend the fact that you trust strangers with free money, or are abusing a great service like PP.
You don't deserve the help you're getting, if you would have just stopped at any one of the "red flags" and used PP properly, this thread would not be here, and the "scammer" would have to find a new place to try to find a willing "victim"

The guy is on here admitting he made mistakes, opening himself up for this crap, just to help others. He could have just sucked up the loss privately. He's here to shine a light on a scumbag in our midst. Personally I appreciate it.

I cannot believe how dense some people are to purposely ignore a simple request from me. If you don't have information regarding this situation, don't post. How hard is that to comprehend? Is the OCD so strong in some of you that you want to piss us off and make things that much more difficult to resolve or understand? Remedial reading is in order for many here.
 
This is what he sent to me when I asked about purchasing one. Sounded shady.

"Just 1 left! My paypal is .............i'm only taking F&F right now tho. Need the money soon but paypal holds everything over $100 for me even tho I've been selling on ebay for years. Maybe cuz I never went only thru paypal?? Just sent your address too and I'll drop it off monday. Thanks! "

To anyone that was interested in how this panned out.

I tried disputing with PayPal knowing that my chances were slim of getting my money back since it was FF. I haven't heard anything back from them. I got in touch with my bank and kinda explained what was going on with them and they took it upon themselves to get in touch with PayPal and dispute it for me as well. This was early last week. As of the 16th of August, I got the money credited back to my account, all I had to do was sign and upload a statement to them.

All in all, everything ended up okay. Sure I got my money back, but it doesn't negate the fact that there are some sleezy people out there. This is definitely a lesson learned for me as unfortunate as the process was.

Thanks to anyone that actually helped out and had input with the process.

When I clicked on the original thread to read about running with scissors my I phones browser went haywire. It let me read a bit then redirected me to a looped site then my phones browser warned me of the danger of that site. I don't know if it was a coincidence or has he hacked the thread somehow trying to cause more havoc. Warning to all.
