Do shave with your EDC?

i make straight razors and knives
i dont cut cardboard with a razor and dont shave with my folder

and while i know some of you guys make some really sharp edges. i want to know how many have shaved with a well honed and stroped straight razor (so you can tell the difference between a "razor sharp knife " and a true razor)

i see no use in a EDC being truly razor sharp as the first thing that you would cut would wreck the edge
I do use one of my EDCs for shaving about.. twice or 3 times a week. BM707S30V, BM710-801 or a custom fixed blade in 1.2842 (IIRC thats O2).

THey're no razors and i assume a real razor would do a better job, but i have fun at shaving myself with one of my knives - and i'm afraid i wouldn't have that if i'd use a real razor.

i have been shaving with astraight for over 2 years now and would not go back to any other way (it does take a little more time to shave)

too many times i have been asked to sharpen a knife to razor sharp while the knife user thinks that razor sharp is shaves arm hair sharp i knwo that true razor sharp is much more then that (and way more fragile an edge )

i woudl however if pushed try to shave with a EDC but it would only be for the shock factor

I'm a diabetic, have to take an aspirin a day, and clumsy, so nope. My Manix 2 or Bradley Alias would carve me up to the tongue! Just an electric razor for me.

I only shave my arm hair to see how sharp my knife is. I have a hairly right arm and a patchy left arm. :o

muahaha. Glad I'm not the only sick one around here...

My EDC will shave, but the Quattro's the way to go!
