From what I have seen, this seems to be the case in that all have similar edge geometry.

Thank the warranty, and the scores of people that choose to abuse the knives because of it.

I do believe this to be roughly true, basically I think typically that equates to the edges being designed chopping concrete with minimal denting/deformations. Military users typically seem to desire this in a knife, as they never really know what may happen during their service.

The INFI gods allowed me to score an INFIManDu from the 'Ganza. W00T! But it came with such a thick edge. 0.035" thick at the edge bevel. Are they all like that? Why so thick on a medium size utility knife? IMHO, it should be under 0.020" for improved slicing. Trying to decide if I should dump it, send it out for a regrind, trade down for a SR101 version and send that out for a regrind, or ???
Remember, geometry cuts.

Just keep it and try using it. I am sure you will be fine
Like I said on my other thread mine is .035" as well, but I do not see any issue with that.
Here it is pictured "in action" after wood work. You can slice very thin like you would do with a fillet blade, while strength is there

That's a mighty fine start sir. The fuller makes that blade complete IMO. Too bad there aren't any BIG finish swats.

Yes, love the fuller. I knew my first would be a RMD, waited for the right SWAT, this was it for me.

The DC finish? I like it on non knife stuff, B Blasted,..gun, motorcycle parts...my first knife w/ this finish...see how it holds up, this is a user, so...

Not alot of hand polished/refinished SWAts I guess, thought about it doing it myself, thought I read that Busse wont refinish other than the DC..? Have a bunch of rookie questions...most answered w/ a phone call already about sharpening/scale change..(is Tiger or snake mic avail. for this..forgot to ask that one?)...

Yea, another finish would be nice..(maybe the next BG coarse will be a BGSWAT) another 8 inches w/ an FFG would be nice too..That Messer a page back is bad ass, didnt know about that one,..asd it to my fast growing list..This was just to good a deal to pass up...glad I grabbed it.
