Do You Carry A Lighter?

non-smoker. I carry and highly recommend the peanut lighters. You can find them at www.countycomm.com/peanutlighter.htm They function the same as a zippo but they are cylinder shaped which make them easier to carrry. The best thing about them though is that they have an o-ring seal so they do not leak fluid. They can sit forever and will still work
 
Cigars at times and torches at work and times to be helpful I have a Zippo. I been through a couple in 30 years but never had a Zippo actually fail me. Little gas hogs but known the world wide!!!:D:thumbup:

Never smoked anything... Always carry a Zippo.

I refill it every Sunday, more in the winter.

I carried a Bic sometimes for a while, smashed one open. I'll never carry one in my front pocket again.
 
mini Bic with cable tied activator lever, clear taped to button compass, as part of my EDC in a Gerber multi tool pouch. regards Les
 
Cigars on occasion here also, and I carry a Colibri torch from time to time.

I have a firesteel in the briefcase.
 
i don't smoke but maybe once in a couple years

i carried a Zippo for a long time, but it seemed to always be dry when i needed it

now i have a Windmill Delta that i fill every couple of months

mostly it's melting the end of paracord or something, but cute chicks at parties or concerts also seem to need a light a lot

the last couple of days i remembered why i started carrying a lighter when i was younger. fireworks.
 
Quit smokin' 16 years ago but I still carry a lighter, several actually but on my keys is a Peanut lighter with o ring construction, never had one evaporate, so far I've lit mine a year later with no apparent lose of fluid.

Great little lighter but not wind proof, if your a little creative you can make your own if you need one.
 
I have a brass Zippo engraved with my name but I stopped carrying it because I almost never use it. I don't smoke and seldom need to light a fire.
 
I smoke occasionally (twice a week). I carry a Zippo armor, and Bic for backup. I also carry a book of paper matches in my wallet.

The Zippo evaportation thing seems to be overblown to me. Mine while light for around a month, and thats carrying it everyday in Arizona. I don't like jet lighters because they have shown to be less reliable then even a regular Bic. Also I find when ever trying to light something, they tend to just incinerate it.
 
Unfortunately I'm a smoker, been one since I was 14 so there's always been a lighter on me. Been thinking of quitting lately, worried one day my students catch me in the act. No matches for me, hate the aftertaste. I use disposables.
