Do you even lanyard, bro?

Thank you sir and prime, very helpful.

Lastly, does either of you know... will normal 550 paracord fit for the small sebenzas?.. Or do I need to buy a smaller size of cordage..?

Also, how about for an umnumzaan?..

Again, thanks for the replies thus far, I am really excited about making some new lanyards for these sebenzas of mine, and including a bead on them!...

Sgt, I used type 1 paracord (100 pound rated and a lot smaller diameter) and it fits perfect through the layard lug in my large 21 insingo. Lots of the others I have seen have looked like normal 550 or flat 550. Some through the lug, some not. As I understand it you can make it flat by pulling out the inner strands? Have not tried it but that's what I read. Can anyone confirm? I would think 550 through the lug would be difficult.

I just keep the stock one on. I find them more useful incase I ever need some cord in an emergency than the short fancy ones that are pretty much just for show. In the case of the small, the lanyard can even help to lengthen the grip. The long fancy custom ones I see are mainly just for show and your just asking for them to catch them on something and pull the knife from your pocket and losing it. Take it from someone who has lost a sebenza ( lanyard is not the reason I lost it ), anything that could possibly cause it to get lost is a BIG NO NO in my book. The stock ones are small and tight and can easily fold around the body while the new fancy ones with the beads pretty much just stick up.

I tried to live with the factory included lanyard in my Seb25. I couldn't. It is an annoyance around the hand when using the knive. Lanyard off for me.

Alright thanks once again SIR, I might pick some type 1 paracord up... Ive been in the knife game for a long long time but never was turned on to lanyards... but lately Im digging the hell outta lanyards, I also like the fact that you can do it yourself, and learn to make many different types of lanyards...

Not to mention that they are very useful... whether it is used to be pulled out of a pocket/bag/ or hell if you ever needed some cordage...

and... "fancy lanyards"... "just for show"...? Thats a very confusing statement, considering its cordage all the same, you can use it just as easy as you could the stock lanyard ....or at least that how i see it.

Now, time to look into cordage to order and what bead/s I'd like! =D

But, bro, it looked good! What will your pinky say?

The pinky is missing it, bro and it also looks bare in photos. But I did notice that the lanyard did look funky sticking out of my pocket at work. lol

mine are always long enough to tuck into my pocket when not in use.

Hey blue,

I like your take on a lanyard. I've been trying to decide what to put on my Gayle Bradley. Thanks for the pic.

At first I thought the short factory ones only looked good on the knife but not in my pocket.
My tastes have changed somewhat. I use them to gain easier access to my knife. If I'm wanting to be discreet I can usually tuck it in the side of my pocket.
I recently ordered a "Bucky Blue" CRK lanyard with silver and it I think it adds a ton of character to my plain Large Regular.
I find my new lanyard makes my Sebenza feel so "pretty".
And that makes me happy too, bro :D

Where can you buy lanyard pins? I emailed CRK a couple of weeks ago asking for price and availability of lg and sm pins (along with spacers), but they never responded.

I know you can buy the titanium spacers online, but have not found the pins. Thanks....

You should buy some better pants, those pockets are upside down!
Lol, that was taken sitting in a doctor's office waiting to get a DOT physical. Needless to say I got some strange looks as to why I had taken a picture of my pants.

I have one on my hunting knife Rat-4 (Esse) as I think it gives me a bit better purchase on a short handled knife when I am cleaning a deer.
