Do you ever take along a knife specifically to use at table when attending a BBQ or visiting a steakhouse for a meal?

Second, if one relies on a light sawing motion in an attempt not to apply too much pressure, the result is simply hideous. Something akin to meat sawdust is produced, a long with a lot of lost juice. The result is a rough, jagged mouth feel and the same lost of taste as above.

Maybe don't go to steakhouses that serve steak that produces sawdust like particles? Or order it slightly less than well done? If you're comparing your steak to wood, you went wrong a long time ago, and no knife is going to help you.

this is clearly trolling
It is, indeed. And yet, look at how completely successful Stahlman is at controlling the group.

If his thread goes down, he posts something intentionally stupid or inflammatory (that probably aren't even topic related) and the group rushes back to respond en masse.

He has done this enough times I'll bet he is sitting back with a beer laughing his butt of at how easily some on this group (especially the ones that think they aren't) are manipulated.

Fun to watch.

Well, because of this thread, I've actually sharpened my teeth to 18DPS and I must say that I can now slice cleanly through my steak while masticating and it tastes soooo much better than when my teeth were dull and only tearing the meat.

Oh god, imagine accidentally biting your cheek

Okay, that's where I have to draw the line.

HOW DARE YOU! Pulled pork is second only to bacon in the Meats Hierarchy! Beef wishes it could be as good as pulled pork.
I beg to diffuh, suh. (Posted in Doc's locution from Tombstone.) While proper bacon is indeed peerless in the hierarchy of meats, it's closely followed by prime beef and not, excuse me, "pulled pork" which sounds more like a low budget porno than a delicious culinary treat.

Because tri-tip is considered "prime beef"? LOL!

This thread is a joke. If you have to use your own knife at a restaurant, that restaurant sucks.

No. I use a fork and the other hand. I've tried using a knife in lieu of the "other hand", but it was a 45/55 split respectively.

I use this one and usually the Chef comes out and asks where they can get one too. I just smile and wink.
