Do you exercise daily?

I lift weights 3-4 times a week. Never more than that. On those off days I do some running or cycling but very light, not cross-country style. I've started to get heavier and heavier, particularly during that period when I was drinking protein shakes.

26, 5'7", 186lbs.

Three years ago I use to weight in at 155lbs consistently.

I'm 31.

I am recovering from surgery from a condition which affected my workout program. 2 years ago, I lifted 4 times a week, biked 60+ miles a week, and ran 7 days a week.

Then I had a bunion which flamed up and the running stopped. Last year, it was so painful I didn't ride more than 600 miles all year (previous years I logged 3000, 3000, 2500 miles). After July I couldn't even lift weights any more because the discomfort in my foot was literally a block. I just couldn't focus.

Last Nov I had my foot hacked, the bunion has been removed, and I am on the road to recovery. I started lifting again a month ago, and am back at 4 times a week. I've managed to get in 2 20 mile rides so far, but there is still discomfort and pleasant weather in Iowa at this time of year is few and far in-between. If riding causes some discomfort in my foot, I know I am not yet ready to run. But I am working on it.

I've gained back a lot of weight that I had lost when I was in top physical shape. My goal is to get back to running 7 days a week, lifting 4 days a week, and biking like a mad-man. Check back with me at the end of fall

50 years old, 5'10", 205 lbs. Generally satisfied with my body, even with its aches and pains. I may not be quite as lean as I was in my 30's, but I'm still pretty trim by most people's standards.

I started lifting weights in my parent's basement in 1975, joined my first gym in 1976, and haven't missed more than 3 consecutive weeks in the last 30 years. My schedule has been train 3 days, rest 1, for the last two decades; no cardio. I've cut back a little in the last few years -- I'm not nearly as obsessive about not missing workouts as I used to be -- but I still train pretty hard.

34. I beat on a "headache bag" every day for anywhere from 15-45 minutes, and work out about 4 times a week right now, since my knees, back, and shoulder have all been cooperating for a change. Getting on a healthy diet kick, since I've been eating like a horse, and have actually been putting on fat since I started being serious about the weightlifting again. I think cutting out sugar while being used to drinking at least a gallon of sweet tea per day has me craving "something" all the time. At least it's given me an excuse to start drinking tea again...
I need to lose at least ten pounds of fat to get in my 30" pants comfortably, so I'm not happy with the shape I'm in right now. I'm 5'6", and edging 200lb. I usually stay ~185-190.
Body shape? Well, I was doomed genetically, and am naturally a short skinny weakling with a gut. Been working out with weights on and off for 21 years, so the skinny weakling part is taken care of. The gut remains a threat, though.

I'm 18. I'm just sort of medium, I'm not fat nor skinny, but I don't have alot of muscles either. I used to run cross country, but due to a leg injury, I haven't been working out in over a month. So I am not entirely satisfied with my body because I know my body could be in a better shape. I'm just hoping my leg gets cured so I could start training for track.

19, slim build, good shape on average... but average is out of shape, so take from that what you may. I'm weaker than most guys, but that's always been true, I'm tall and skinny. I work out about six days a week, sometimes four, sometimes five. Twice a day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm not unsatisfied with my body, but I want it to be better and it's getting there. I just wish it would warm up so I could run farther.

My daily "workout"

... is not daily... I vary. Wednesday and Friday I hit the weights really hard for upper body and do an ab workout, too. Tuesday and Thursday I do a lot of calisthenics, twice a day, with the Army. I usually run three times a week, between 2 miles and 4 miles, depending on how cold it is and how much time I have. Mondays I have a three hour ballroom dance class. I try to eat a lot of vegetables and fruits and drink a lot of water. High protein diet is good for me, I like chicken and turkey. Lately I haven't been avoiding fatty foods as much as I should have, but most of the weight I've recently gained has been muscle mass, so I've been okay.

63 years old and still "Ranger Ready". Up at 0430 - 150 pull-ups and a complete series on the bowflex along with 8-9 miles a day on the stationary bike in the winter and on the road the rest of the year, every day. (Can't run anymore because of the titanium in the spine). Six feet, 180, used to be 6'2" but I am shrinking.:D
