Do you guys use your most expensive knives?

This was my work combo for many years (shipping dock, construction). They each cost $300, which is the most I've ever paid for a knife.

That being said, I'm not the type of person who thinks "I use my knives, that makes me better than people who don't". I say, to each their own. Whatever people want to do, or not do with their knives is no business of mine, and certainly not a reason for me to look down on them, or mock them, or question their reasoning.

I own several knives that have never, and will never be used. I receive enjoyment from merely owning and handling them. And that's all the "use" I need to get out of them.

Whats the model and maker of the top one?

Wilson Tactical model 25. It's a semi-custom (made to order). Wilson Tactical was a side-line of Wilson Combat (custom 1911's), but WT closed several years ago.
this I didn't no ! I owned and shot thee custom made 1911's made by Willson combat , but this was back in the late 1990's where I was shooting pistol match, and always with 1911's.

The knives were hand-made by Ryan Wilson. I think he only made them for a few years. I know the model 25 is very rare. I haven't seen another picture of one online since I bought mine. Ryan Wilson did some custom collaborations with other knife makers, and then Wilson the company went on to sell other knives that were produced by outside makers under different brand names.

Here's a pic from the original add for the model 25. Mine is a little different because I did some modifications. It was also available in a rough bead-blasted finish, but I went with black because I don't like rough BB finishes.

No - I no longer even consider using my better (read that as any knife over $25) knives anymore.
I don't fear using them and putting wear and tear on them - I fear having them taken away and labeled as contraband.

That's the fear-based country a certain political party has turned my once brave and proud country into.

Mostly. I have a couple commemorative knives that don't get used, but otherwise they're all fair game. Some knives do get used a lot more than others, but that's more down to a preference of ergonomics and function than price. Among my fixed blades the line for what is a yardening knife in the woodlot and what is reserved for camping in the wilderness is always moving to include more and more expensive knives. It started with a bunch of Moraknivs in sheds, but now I'll regularly use my Joker, Ka-Bar, and ESEE knives in the yard. Some fixed blades are for overnighter trips and others reserved for special multiple day trips.
