My Grandad was looking for a long time for a British army clasp knife like the one he was issued in WWII.
We were at a market once, and saw one for sale, but the price was too high.
I know he regretted walking away from that knife, and at the time I was too young and penniless to buy it for him.
I always kept my eye out for one for him, but this was in the dark times before the internet was ubiquitous, and I only found the wrong type (without the black plastic scales).

I never did find him that knife, and my Grandad is no longer with us.
I want to get one for my collection as a keepsake and reminder of the man who introduced me to pocket knives.
This is complicated somewhat by the fact that I now live in the States.

If you have one of these knives, (or a reproduction thereof) perhaps you would consider trading it for my Case Doctor's knife?
It is the single-blade version, with caramel-colored scales (I don't know the official Case name for the color).
It has never been used or sharpened, but has been stored in a box with other knives, so it has a little 'shelf wear'.
It also has a small blemish in and near the nail nick, but it is very minor and would be a good excuse to use the knife rather than keep it pristine in a drawer!

I know this is a long shot, but if you have a clasp knife that you'd like to trade, let me know by replying to this thread, and I'll try to take some decent photos tomorrow when there is some daylight!
