Do you keep a knife in your end table?

Nope, 3.5 year old who gets into everything.
Microtech otf. Half the adult population can barely open them. My daughter stopped stealing my pocket knife because it didn't do anything. Now my flashlights on the other hand....

A stiff otf is the safest knife I own.

A medium Cobratec FS-X is much stiffer to open! (FS-3 is not as stiff, and small FS-X is not as stiff, but both my my medium are tight!).

Just a passing thought, wondering how common it is for people in this forum to keep a knife in their end table drawer in their bedroom? Thinking for self protection purposes, but also thinking it could be a good excuse to buy another knife ;).
I have a 14" Imacasa machete and a hammer next to the bed, not in a drawer. I had a loaded shotgun but had to put it away when I went on vacation and haven't put it out yet.

I'll just invite the perp into the kitchen for a beer and a snack, whatever. Just today I counted 40 knives in the 3 knife blocks on the counter, a few more in the drawer. But I need to make an adapter for the 10" cimiter knife. It's like a mini-machete for the kitchen.
