Do you keep a knife in your end table?

Katana’s don’t fit in drawers. 🤣
Knives and firearms throughout the house (I hate looking for things if you need them), but my dogs hate strangers and hear a gnat fart so they would give me time to greet intruders properly.

I have about 20 in my nightstand, my Buck 110s, couple CS, ZTs, a cheap double sided fixed blade, some pepper spray… oh yeah, and a 2.5’ baton… waiting for the robbers lol
No firearms needed, I want them to suffer before they die lol
In all seriousness I live in a small town out in the ‘burbs, with almost no crime, so hopefully nothing I’ll ever have to really worry about.

There are knives in every room of my house and my bedside table isn't without its share. By my bed are currently three fixed blades, a folder, a Leatherman Wave, a bear spray canister, two flashlights, a stack of books, and an axe leaned against the end-side table.

Plastic tomahawk under my pillow. Also makes a great back scratcher.

As far as torches go. I have a dolphin on my night stand. Because at three o'clock in the morning waving my hand frantically around looking for a torch. I am more likely to find something big and yellow.

I keep a few on the end table next to "my spot" on the couch.
My EDC for the moment goes there, as do any knives I am currently trying to pass on.
Yesterday, I had an estimate on the roof done. When I saw the guy use a Case pocket knife, I passed on one of my Svord mods (which was handy on the end table) to him.
Good times.

Just a passing thought, wondering how common it is for people in this forum to keep a knife in their end table drawer in their bedroom? Thinking for self protection purposes, but also thinking it could be a good excuse to buy another knife ;).
Yes, a glow in the dark Spyderco dragonfly, and a Benchmade Mini Griptilian in the drawer. Screwed into the bottom of the nightstand is a button operated locked box with a suppressed Glock 19 (light and laser attached).

EDIT to clarify - the glow in the dark Spyderco is ON the night stand to pick up light, and Benchmade is in the drawer.

When watching TV I have fixed blades and folders within reach just to fiddle with when Hallmark channel gets to slow. Which is a lot, but some movies are actually entertaining, especially those with father daughter stuff, makes my eyes watery, yes, my testosterone has waned. To,be fai, my wife will watch or tolerate the Westerns I watch on the Grit channel.

Ruger LC9S in the nightstand drawer and whatever knife I carried that day on top the nightstand.

In the bedroom I have no idea what's in the nightstand, probably nothing. I don't worry a lot about home defense, I think if a person is really serious about home defense they should get a good security system and/or a big and/or loud dog.

On the table at the end of the sofa I have an organizer I made that holds glasses, flashlights, multitool and pocket folder. There now is a Manix 2 M4. I reach for it frequently when I need to cut open an envelope or something like that.

On my desk is another organizer that I made that contains scissors, pens, rulers, magnifier, calculator. On the side of that organizer is a slot that holds the blade of a Spyderco Mule, kind of like a holder for a letter opener or pen. I always wondered why I didn't see anything about knife holders like that for desks. Now I have a knife that is easy to grab and use if I need to cut open an envelope, package, whatever.

No weapons on/in the nightstand but I have a Vallaton custom auto on display on top of a dresser and a loaded G17, Ruger Carbine and Rem 870 in the gun locker in the walk-in closet.

No knives in my nightstand but I have a handgun.

I don't have knives in drawers around the house for fidgeting or self defense. My wife and I have our CPLs.
