Do you keep any escape tools in your car?

I came across this article on yahoo about some woman who almost sunk in her car and couldn't get out and then when searching escape tools I found this new product..https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/34951038/the-supervizor-a-visor-mounted-lifesaver

Does anyone else have this fear of being trapped in a sinking or burning car??

DO you keep some rescue hammer or device like this nearby? What I like about this one is that it's solid 440 ss unlike most plastic ones that I've seen out there. Thoughts?

I have one of these (unknown brand but same concept) mounted within reach of the drivers seat.

I have my knife, a handgun, and a small fire extinguisher in my car. I'm thinking about getting a glass breaker pen.

I have that same looking tool.....

I had a BMW 325i and got into a bad accident. I was surprised when all the windows went down after.

Yes. I have one of those glass breaking hammers and a seat belt cutter. I also have a pen with a glass breaker on it clipped to my pocket everyday. If I have my BM 810 that day it also has glass breaker. Further, I also carry some sort of knife and my Glock 26 everyday.

I keep a glock in my truck. It would probably blow an eardrum but it would work in a pinch.

I have carried various glass breaks in the past, but I learned about one called "Resqme" when I took the "Bullets and Vehicles" class at the Sig Sauer Academy. I used the Resqme to cut multiple seat belts and crack side windows on a car we eventually shot up and now carry it on my keychain. I must add that the tool in my own car, which I tested at the class, took far too long to cut my seatbelt and was very awkward for breaking glass, so I tossed it right after the class.

I depend my quick thinking, Glock, Strider and Foursevens Mini to get me out of whatever life threatening situation I run into. I also keep an axe, 2 ton floor jack, shovel, tow strap, two large cans of fix a flat, a tire plug kit and 5 gallons of fuel secure in the toolbox of my 4x4. These items are of no help if at home in my barn, and if all else fails I'll call my woman...:D

Punch-style glass breaker and trauma shears in each vehicle. I find the shears are less expensive, more versatile and often quicker than most strap cutters.

Also, I want to add that the point of having the Resqme on your keychain is that you always know exactly where it is and it won't go flying off somewhere in your car in the event you have a bumpy ride before your vehicle comes to a stop. Assuming your seatbelt works more or less properly, you should still be able to reach your keychain after you stop.

Benchmade triage and a flashlight in the door. Need to find a better spot for it though.

My knife, my 45, and a short handled axe under the seat.

The auto center punch is a good idea!

I have a Gerber LMF 2 in my vehicles, decent knife that can cut seatbelts and break glass.

I use a Benchmade seat belt cutter and a automatic center punch. It's hard to swing a hammer under the water !

I do always have knife, however, I'm not convinced I could break a window with a delica or BM 531. Lol.

But you first unlock the door. Then you wait until the car is nearly filled with water, then just open the door. I know, it sounds simple… I'd figure something out. I keep a bag full of quarters hidden away for those pesky meters, along with various tools. A bag full of lug nuts, wheel lock key, tire gauge(s), bottle opener, etc.
