Do you keep any escape tools in your car?

Bought a few Smith n Wesson 1st response tools 20+yrs ago. Replace.springs work like a charm. Keep one in my jeep, Pete 379supeXl. No worries

Meh, I've kicked one out.
I'm no "window expert" but there's no way I'd be "trapped" in a car.

Just keep in mind, if you're in a situation where you need to break a window there's a good chance it didn't happen gently. Injuries can stack up very quickly and, even if you're still in good enough condition to break a window, heavy exertion means more blood loss. That's one reason I prefer punch-style glass breakers. Nothing that I have to swing, no major exertion necessary. That leaves more available resources to get myself and my family out once the window is broken.

I keep a full-sized, steel firearm strapped to my hip. I'm sure I can think of a few ways to break car glass if need be.

That's a great point.

Gerber 06 auto which has a very nice strike poing on it, and my glock 27 which is on me where ever I go

Point taken, and smart thinking.

Various places carry spring punches for as little as $10 up to $16. Interweb search can find a source near you. Very cheap, considering the potential outcomes. May never need one. In 20+ years, I only had to use one 3 times, my department, maybe 15 times total. (Real life events. Non-training scenarios.) But if you do need it, and you don't have it, you are SOL.
