I accidentally got my first knife i made too close to the sander and took off the finger guard and part of the belly of the blade. made me learn to watch what i was doing tho.

Here's my M390 Mule, needing a bit more work. Used G-10 for the scales, red micarta and black tex-tuff with blue plastic spacer. A bit beefier than I wanted, but it fits my hand better that way. I need to even out the left and right sides a bit more.

Personally, I'd contour it to fit your hand, with a slight bump in the center. But it looks great so far! Wish mine came out that well.

I learned (for the next knife) not to double up the liners bc as you can see, they start to fray and the glue starts coming out. Also, I need to clamp down the butt end better and line up the mosaics.

Overall I'm very happy with it and can't wait to start on my 2nd one. Not bad for my first knife, right?
