Do you own a vacation knife?

A Spyderco Pacific Salt

No matter if you are in the ocean or the pool it works anywhere

This.^
And, it works for; Is that another knife??
No, it's my vacation knife, dear. :D

BM 530 for me, so light it worked great in shorts. SOG Flash 1 or SRM-763 would probably be second choices for low cost and functionality. The bottle opener one the SRM might be quite handy on vacation...

I don't have a vacation knife technically, but I always bring my ontario rat 1 on vacations. Mostly because it's my beater knife, it's cheap and I won't be sad if I lost it. I don't understand why youd want an expensive knife with a super steel on it. I mean..we're on vacation, what will I really need to cut? Some twine, cardboard, maybe some food prep? Yea aus 8 will be just fine

I miss NOLA. :)

Wherever I go one of my Delica ZDP189's goes with me ~~ and plus I am always wearing one of my discontinued Gerber Belt Buckles.* { i have a "few" of them to choose from }
This year it will be New Orleans,La. and Biloxi,Ms. for fun in the Sun & cool summer nights.

I live in NOLA! One place to definitely check out is the WWII museum!! And you gotta get some beignets whether its from Morning call or Cafe Du Monde. (its pronounced ben-yay to save you from embarrassment) Have fun!

And my vacation knife depends on how I'm traveling and the laws of where I'm traveling. If I'm driving, I'm likely to bring a few of my favorites (because i won't have to worry about them getting taken by the TSA). If I'm flying, ill probably take a SAK classic only because if it gets taken it won't hurt too bad (and they're cheap :cool: ).

This year I carried an Emerson horseman for 10 days strait in Canada with my inlaws. That's the longest time with only 1 knife so far...

spyderco tenacious is a good compromise between quality and disposable in case of theft.

I just use my SAK everywhere.
I had a friend who would use his vacation time to take part in RenFest. He had an Excaliber replica, anyway a copy of the one in the movie of the same name.
Would a sword like that be considered a vacation knife? Okay, kidding. But he really did that, I never went to RenFest myself.

My wife and I have went to Vegas a few times in the last 4 or 5 years. The Vegas blade length law is 3" for a concealed knife.
All of my edc knives are 3 1/2" or longer so I bought a Cold Steel mini Tuff lite with a 2" blade.
