Do you prefer RAT having a limited # of blades?

I have several knives from RAT and the Izula and the RC-6 came with these thin molle clips that will not fit on my belt? I wear a pistol belt so it is thicker than a dress belt. How do you get the "thin Molle Clips to fit your belt? I would like to see pictures of this. I know I can buy a heavy duty Tek-Loks for another 10-20$$ or use para cord. I can also drop more money on a nylon back plate and pouch but that's another 50-70$$ or buy the boot clip for my RC-3.

To give my answer to the question "Do you prefer RAT having a limited # of blades?" Yes! I think knives are like hats if you have too many then you don't get to know the items very well. I wear 1-2 hats most of the time and I know the limits of both hats. One is for everyday it's a Kanga hat fits good and I can wear it all day. I always carry a small Case Stockman for EDC it has three small blades and works very good at everyday things and sometimes my Izula . Second hat is a Tilly hat very good for the days in the sun camping or hiking keeps the sun and rain off of my head. Hiking or camping I always carry the small Case Stockman along with my RAT RC-6 maybe the RC-3 and always the Izula.

The molle clips really can't be modified. Either need a thinner belt, or to get the backing. You can get the backing without the pouch for about 40 I believe

other optio s are the tec lok, or the steel spring clip

Rat has pretty much supplied a knife for my every need now. Although that could change with the next one they offer. I like the RC-6 with the sharpened swedge as a fighting survival knife. I also like that they are offering other products.

Yep, I think the good thing about Mike and Jeff is that they take their time before releasing new products but it is for the right reasons. Field tested gear and knives are the one that are then praised by their users (people like us). So far they have pretty much every angle covered, once the folder will come into play, I know I will pretty keen to know what will be next.

I do not see a need for a ton of fixed blades.
I do see ESEE Knives getting huge if they offer several folders maybe 5 or 6 models.I would be drawn to them just for the fact that they would be USA made.
I really like Spyderco but I have drifted away from them as most of the new designs are Taiwan or China made.Ok for some people I guess but not for me.

More choices the better......the more you can add to your collections. New products generate more sales due to whackos like us where 1 or 2 knives is always not enough. The wider the line up available the broader the market reach is. Heck ESEE can even make kitchen knives and I will buy them. Its also a sound business practice to diversify as long as the quality remains. The only pitfall of expanding too fast is the inability to sustain it.

I think that the choice options are almost perfect. Tho a fixed blade make a better survival knife, i would still like to see folders in production. i know there are plans for the hest and izula, but if only they were available now...
