Do you really have to disparage the Swiss Military to sell your Kershaw EMT knives?

Yeah, that's definitely not Kershaw/KAI ad copy. The didn't even explain the model number correctly-- according to the web site, GRYST means grey steel; but to Kershaw, it means grey handle, serrated blade.

It's just marketing jargon by the seller albeit in poor taste. Don't mess with the Swiss!

Lol. The Swiss Army's plastic toothpick mentioned in the ad is never a part of the actual knives issued to the Swiss Army; neither the older Alox Soldier, nor the newer Standard Issue Soldier's knife. The toothpick/tweezers are on knives marketed to civilians.

The ad doesn't bother me, even though I've been an admitted user/fan of Victorinox SAKs for over 30 years. There's 0% chance that the ad will negatively affect Victorinox's sales. SAKs will continue to be made and used long after the ad has been forgotten.

Yep. Woot does the same thing. It's just parody, comedy and filler. Like The Onion does news.

I thought they might be a subsidiary of Woot, but then I read the founder of Woot sold the company to Amazon and started this one.

Actually in a way I'm glad they started this site, because I used to get some good deals on knives from Woot, but when Amazon took over they stopped shipping knives to NY. Which makes no sense since Amazon usually does.

Fairly certain this knife is none of those things. I hate stupid ad copy.

(In my best Lili Von Shtupp voice) "It's twue, it's twue!"
Yes I carry it at work... The two upper Benchmades are just too nice to risk at work. The HK Axis rotates time with the Funxion EMT at the bottom.

And I earned that patch almost 10 years ago... Full time career FD/EMS.

SAKs are just SAKs because they have always been associated with the swiss army and that is what people know them for, so they always will be. I'm not an EMT but I have know a couple and they not deserve their name on a $10 Kershaw. Benchmade Triage is a better representation of what they actually deserve in terms of quality and tools (no bottle opener!).
