Do You Remember This Knife?

I like the idea of a good single-blade Barlow in stainless.

Some posts were moved offline. No more speculation or rumors on pricing will be tolerated in this thread. Charlie will let us know when he has enough info to make sure he doesn't end up funding this project.

To the OP that started the rumor. Knock it off.

To those who responded to the post, thanks for watching Charlie's back.
I felt it was better to bury the whole string of posts.

Agreed.

OK; let's start fresh with a new photo or two. You can see, I've been working on the label and I sent it out to the printer for proofing, so you'll just have to wait to see the finished product, but they should be available very soon. ;)

Meanwhile, feast yer eyes!

Awesome label Barry!!! Kinda weird seeing my name on there, sort of embarrassing :o:)

You should be proud, Eric. I'm definitely planning of scarfing up one of these!

Just a quick question.

If I'm lucky enough to aquire one, will the shipping cost to other locations, Canada for example, be the same as the shipping cost for the 2014 knife.
Knowing this in advance would make this easier for all involved.

+1. Also, your effort to show a "real" knife (not a drawing) for the 2014 BF knife was much appreciated :)

This!! These two posts are exactly what I would have said. :) Your work on this knife and just your demeanor in your posts on this forum along with your insight into how things work in the Canal Street factory are much appreciated and I have learned a lot from your posts. Your an asset to this community and I'm glad that Charlie was able to work this out and get you the recognition you deserve.

Not at all Eric! Thanks for all your hard work on the project!

Shipping to Canada and the world will be no more than the forum knife shipping costs.

Eric, I know your skills, and what you do for CSC. You are deserving of an SFO in your name, my friend.

(I will be looking into one of these, as it was my vote originally)

It kills me that I don't have the funds for this AND the Forum knife. But I will say: seeing is stag has me even MORE excited for what will be on the Forum knife.

Why doesn't money grow on trees? I wonder what the button-and-pocket lint to dollars exchange rate is right now.....😄

The shipping will be the same as a Forum knife.
I had a few shipped to me for our Canadian members. Here are the first 4 that I took out of the box - remarkably consistent, and just gorgeous!!
The pull is about a 6 across the 4 of them. No half stops, for you "round-tang-ers"!:D

The Barlow is, of course, in there for scale. The Erics are just 1/8" shorter, and are "beefier" in the handle.
That's all I will say - I don't want to spoil your fun!!;)

I've got the final invoice now, so I'll have the price tomorrow for sure.

Nice going Eric! Some day our kids are going to be on here boasting about that old Eric's Jack they found on Ebay!!
Don't be embarrassed!! You should be proud!!
Your skill must be influenced by all those nice Schrades you outbid me on, so many years ago!!:D

Eric, you went the extra mile with your forum knife proposal. I was glad to meet you last year at the Canal Street Cutlery open house. I ended up purchasing three knives there, and a Coppersmith Kabar later. I'm delighted with the quality, fit and finish of each of them. I'm so happy to see that your forum knife submission is coming to fruition. Owning one will make lots of us knife knuts happy. Well done!! And I hope there's lots more to come.

Great job Eric, it's pretty cool to have your name on a knife! Be proud it's on a beauty you made! I'm definitely down for one of these and hope I score one, it will be my first Canal Street Cutlery knife!

Here's the one that started it all. A genuine, witnessed by hundreds, Prototype!!
Thanks Eric, and Wally the Boss, for this very nice gift!
